It is also the color temperature of direct sunlight during morning or afternoon hours. 4,000K is a popular choice for people looking for a bit more clarity and crispness in their light but also don't want something too blue or stark.
4,000K LED lamps would be beneficial for areas where additional color clarity is desired. Kitchen and food prep areas as well as bathroom and vanity areas may be potential areas where 4,000K can be helpful. Be sure to keep in mind color differences between other areas of the home that have warm-white lighting may be installed.
