Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino Uno/Mega, Kit, V2.3, 1438

The Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino allows control of up to 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors.

It features TB6612 MOSFETs that provide an output current of 1.2 A per channel, with peak currents up to 3 A for short durations.

An additional PWM driver is included on the board, controlled via I2C, freeing up the Arduino's PWM outputs.

Only two pins, SDA & SCL, are needed for controlling multiple motors, simplifying the wiring process.

The I2C address can be set using 5 address-select pins, allowing for the use of up to 32 stackable shields, enabling control of up to 64 stepper motors or 128 DC motors.

The second, improved version of the Adafruit Motor-Shield offers the easiest and fastest way to control DC motors and stepper motors. The L293D Darlington drivers have been replaced with TB6612 MOSFETs, which provide enhanced performance. The motor control is facilitated by an extra PWM driver on the board, ensuring efficient operation.
