The Aluratek universal trans./reciev. is Awesome!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 7, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Aluratek - Universal Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter is amazing ! It provides incredible flexibility in its input and output selection for audio. I have an older high end Alesis THX certified speaker system in my office that was made for use with computers. Because it's older, it presented some challenges with respect to connectivity problems with my iPad or iPhone. With this unit I can get a high-quality input signal transfer via Bluetooth and then send it to my system via a digital optical out and I get an incredible sound reproduction through the Alesis system. Wow, it's amazing and easy to hook up and like I said it sounds great !

    Works perfectly! Amazing Device!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 10, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tested on an older TV and a newer smart tv. This device works better than I anticipated. Easy to use and understand. It works great with two headsets paired. It has long range, I can walk from the living room to the back room and still hear the tv. There is no latency! The audio runs perfectly in sync with the screen. I did my research when looking for a good Bluetooth transmitter and it lead me to this device. In my opinion, Best bang for your buck.

    CRAP

    Reviewed by Wiseguy - January 8, 2023

I bought it for my LG TV to link with my brand-new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds11. I tried everything but it would not pair with the earbuds. I paired the earbuds to my iPhone in seconds, then I paired the earbuds to another iPhone! I paired a set of hearing aids to an Oticon adapter very quickly. The pairing process is simple but this Aluratek wouldn't work! The directions are poorly written and it comes with a USB power cable but not an outlet plug. Really! I just spent $112 and you don't provide the power connections for the end of the USB cable! I brought it back and explained the problem and was told that it doesn't pair with some products. Piece of Garbage!

    Works well, but...

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 17, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had very high hopes for this product and to an extent it met my expectations. Meaning, it works really well on one (Bose SoundSport) of my four bluetooth speaker/headphone devices. As a consumer I had no idea that there are different bluetooth versions. Every bluetooth device I've ever purchased (and I've prucheses several over the years) worked with the device I was connecting it too. Except this one...and there was no indication on the packaging that it would only work with certain devices. It does work really well on the Bose headphones however. As far as recommending it, I would if there was a list of the devices it did/did not work with.

    Well worth it!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 12, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the one that I picked up after another cheaper version did not work. This has optical for audio. This worked with older tvs that I have. Hooked up a Bose Soundtocuh 10 to my tv, using bluetooth. Did not want a soundbar that would make a lot of noise. Wanted loud sound next to me so it was loud where I was sitting and not across the whole room. Worked perfectly. Will take some time to get it to connect though....different times to connect depending on the bluetooth speaker. Tested it also inanimate old TKD speaker, which has older bluetooth version. It is about 5 years old, compared to the newer Bose Soundtouch 10

    Didn't work for our purposes

Reviewed by Wilfred Toadflax - January 30, 2026

This product is a fantastic idea, and we really wish it had worked out for us! It is well-built and well-designed, and easy to use. Unfortunately, when transmitting to the particular Bluetooth headphones we were trying to use, there was a significant audio delay between the tv video and the headphone audio. They are more affordable headphones, and this appears to be the issue, as I tested it with a pair of higher-quality, more expensive earbuds, and there was no delay. It didn't make sense for us to spend more money on better headphones, so we returned it. Overall, a great product, but just be warned that you'll need decent headphones to pair with it.

Good if you're *always* using BT

    Reviewed by - June 26, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're always using BT, or rarely using it, this is a good purchase. However if you sometimes want it on, other times off, this can be a bit cumbersome. It would be really useful with a remote where I could grab my headphones, flick the switch, and this would turn on and intercept my audio to my headphones when, for instance, my wife is sleeping but I still want to watch TV. It works as advertised, but the implementation could have been a bit more robust to *really* fill the needs of what I believe most people will be wanting this for. How many people get a TV and just want to listen via BT headphones *all the time*?

    Not a Fan

    Reviewed by - June 20, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This extender truly let me down since it was posed to be pretty easy to set up, plug in audio and get going. This was not the case and if I am honest I still can't figure out all the features that it shows on the packaging. I'm pretty tech savvy and I believe I can follow instructions fairly well but there is something missing here and I am bummed. I wanted to get my gaming headset to connect to my tv so that I wouldn't bother everyone with my Battle Royale sessions. Oh well I'll give it another try and if it does not work then I will keep searching. I wish this was an easy feat but alas it was not.

    Excellent Working Device

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 11, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Aluratek to turn my non bluetooth home theater receiver into a bluetooth receiver and to be able to pair my bluetooth electronics with the receiver. It worked perfectly. The instructions were clear and I was quickly able to pair my phone to the receiver and play music from youtube. The same was true of other devices. another plus is the ability to stream my digital media up to 100 ft. While I did not not test the 100 ft, It did work well beyond the usual 33 ft. 50 to 70 ft. I have not used it as a transmitter yet but I am sure it will work. This unit was well worth the 75 dollars with tax I paid. New bluetooth home theater receivers start at 300 dollars.

Great sound quality - Long Range

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 26, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to connect an older high quality audio receiver (2000) via Bluetooth. It has fiber TOS output to connect digitally which is convenient and the best quality connection to my receiver. It receives Bluetooth from anywhere in the house which is really convenient. I have my turntable downstairs in my house and connect that to my laptop via USB and my laptop connects cleanly to this device clear across my home. Sound quality is outstanding and it takes advantage of the newer hi def Bluetooth options that my laptops supports. My iPhone connects to this device from anywhere in the house. I haven’t used the transmit function; only receive but am very happy with this device.
