Comes with a highly customizable power profile built in. Combined with the Schneider Electric Network Management card ot allows you to manage the UPS and power profiles either through terminal, SSH, or Web Browser. The amount of customization in the NMC is very impressive. You can customize thresholds, alarms, and graceful shutdown of independent power bays. All of these features provided by the APC Smart UPS will ensure that your equipment will be protected in even the worst power nightmares. Provides stable power during medium length power outages and ensures safe shutdown of servers and high-end gaming rigs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I both work from home and we have had some recent power failures that have left us unable to work, I selected the APC Smart-UPS SMT1500C with the hope that should it happen again we are covered. The APC Smart-UPS is very easy and straight forward to setup. I also installed the APC UPS Network Management Card 3 to help with monitoring and management. Very happy with it, everything is plugged in and running smoothly and quietly.

I bought this product in preparation for Hurricane Irma, and it has worked perfectly during my use. Even when there are no storms, my area is slightly prone to outages, and this UPS has never failed to provide uninterrupted PC use. During the storm, I had the chance to truly stress-test this product, as I was experiencing multiple power outages a minute. During 40 minutes of PC use, with lights constantly flickering, the UPS logged over 40 events that required battery backup, yet my PC was completely unaffected. After the storm, I was without power for 2.5 days, and the battery kept enough power to charge multiple phones multiple times.

I am very happy with this UPS. I did quite a bit of reading before I purchased it because of some of the mixed reviews. I'll cover the ones it seemed were mentioned the most. First: odor. When I first plugged mine in it had a VERY SLIGHT odor for the first couple weeks. I would pretty much have to be sitting right next to it to notice. Second: noise. The fan can hardly be heard when it's running and the unit is virtually silent all other times. Third: Heat. Mine has never been more than barely warm to the touch. Fourth: brightness. The display is what I would describe as a cool blue in color. It doesn't shine light in and of itself so it doesn't light up the room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in a part of town that is older, and during out hot summer months we have occasional brown outs (Power drops enough to cause electrical items to shutoff/restart) and having this happen to your server at home is not conducive to a long life of the raid, cpu and other items. However, by installing the APC UPS, we've mitigated this by always supplying the server, our router and the switch with 120 VAC even during times when our power drops to 20VAC (our brown out voltages). I cannot recommend installing a UPS enough to anyone who needs to ensure their server uptime is maximized.

I’ve been using this UPS along with its network management card, and it has completely changed the game in terms of power protection and remote monitoring. Setting up the UPS was a breeze, and the network management card seamlessly connected to my network. This allowed me to easily keep an eye on the UPS from anywhere, receiving notifications and accessing performance data for peace of mind. With its 1500VA capacity, the SMT1500C delivers reliable power backup for all my valuable electronics. It keeps them safe from power issues like surges or fluctuations. The UPS has a sleek tower design that fits well in any environment. The LCD display gives me quick access to important information like battery life and power conditions. Having 8 outlets is fantastic as it lets me connect multiple devices, including my computer, monitor, router, and more. It’s really convenient. Overall, the APC Smart-UPS SMT1500C, combined with the network management card, offers excellent value, reliability, and ease of use. If you’re looking for a UPS that protects your devices and allows easy remote monitoring, this is the one to get. I highly recommend the SMT1500C as the best value UPS in its category.

The APC Smart-UPS SMT1500 worked perfectly for my small business to keep it running during power outages. It provided us with a backup battery power in the event of a power outage, monitoring and safeguarding your equipment from harmful power conditions. The best part is that the automatic green mode ensures you are operating at the highest level of efficiency. Highly recommend it if you want to keep and protect your equipment at the same time while running a business!

I manage the UPS for a midsize biotech in South SF with over 2.5millionKVA backup potential. Before buying this consider if your using a diesel to provide increased power outage support this might be more than you need. True it's scalable if you have high current start up requirements/maintaining switches for pumps PGE will love you for this properly configuring loads on this SMT. Otherwise the BR1500 is my personal favoroite for NGS MiSeq type instruments.

With 10 (!) outlets, pure sine wave output and AVR, this thing is a beast. 2,700 Watts of output is nice, too. It’s large (17” x 7.7” x 21.4”) heavy (116lbs.) and requires a rare L5-30R (30 Amp) power input connector, so it’s not the easiest UPS to install, but once you get everything in place, it offers the absolute highest capacity you can get in a single cabinet, 120V UPS solution. Consider it for large, power intensive applications.

I received this APC backUPS a few weeks ago and had my computer plugged into it. A storm hit just last week and we lost power for a whole week! I plugged my phone into the UPS as well as my computer and I was able to get news updates from our governor about shelters and when it was safe to go outside. I've already bought another for my wife's computer in the den! I highly recommend this to anyone who is under threat of losing power!
