I looked at many brands to replace my old bulky island hood. It is beautifully made and its proportions and style keep it from sticking out above everything else in the kitchen. Both the lighting and intake blowers are easily adjustable by pressing the front controls. I like the warm-colored lights they used, enhances the look of food when cooking and gives the right amount of added light to the room. The blowing is not that loud, but has to be of a certain level to eliminate cooking fumes. I do not have any cooking odors in other parts of the house. I should add that the place I purchased it from did not have a sample to show me, as you will find true of many ranges hoods. So I had to order it sight unseen. That can sometimes lead to disaster—this time it was perfect and I'm thrilled.

But again I do not leave it on all the time only when I am cooking with lots of vapors, smoke or grease. The filters are very easy to clean as well as the hood. I love the flat design of it as it is very trim and elegant looking in the kitchen. Wonderful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got one of these for over our island. I really like the built-in timer (which I find I reach to more often than any other timer in my kitchen). The lights are great, but, careful, they do get hot. Hood fan has all settings from quiet to "blast-off" for when you really make a mistake.

Very nice range hood and the functions on this thing are pretty neat although I wish that there was a simple on and off button to save your last setting. That's just personal preference though.
