(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The panel lights are too dim, they don't match the Bosch panel lights that are on the oven directly below. Why would they not match the brightness? We are getting heavy condensation on the inside walls of the microwave, after everything we nuke. This cannot be normal. Why is there so much chrome, visible in-between the door and panel? This is supposed to be a blacked out appliance. It looks horrible.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We did a major renovation a few months ago, and that was when we upgraded all of our appliances to Bosch appliances. We went with this make and model to match it with our 30" Bosch wall-in oven. The microwave has decent performance but could certainly be improved on a couple of aspects. 1) The microwave goes into the energy-saving mode, and the display is dimmed. The problem is that it dims to a level that you cannot see the digital clock on the display anymore. Unfortunately, there is no option in the menu to disable the energy-saving mode of the microwave. 2) For a unit of this size and price range, I was expecting an energy output of more than 950 Watts. Some small standalone microwaves' output energy is more than that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved into a house with a built-in 27 inch microwave. Our first priority was to get back to the Bosch Appliances that we loved from our previous home. We even discovered that our cabinets were pre-engineered for a 30" oven so we could upgrade the size too. The Bosch Microwave is easy to use. The controls are very intuitive and with a couple of touches the food is on it's way to perfection. The Sensor feature really makes this a smart oven. The oven's sensors take over the cooking process and makes sure the food comes out "just right". Thank you Bosch for engineering a great appliance.

Control Panel was replaced due to low visibility. The image is better, but is still very light in comparision to the image displayed on the Bosch Built-in Oven that is located right below the Bosch Microwave. The Microwave functions on cooking levels, but I have had on 3 occasions bright red bars under the time appear during cooking. Once cooking ceases the bars can be seen as dark images for a few hours and then fade. I had repair in again, but repair tech could not get the Microwave to recreate the issue. I showed technician a picture of the bars after the end of the cooking cycle. He said it was hard to see the bars at the time he was viewing. For this review, I toned down the graphic levels so for better viewing. I did not think to do that while tech was here. He said he would note issue in case the issue became frequent. He said the unit was functioning for now and we agreed that if it continued and was frequent that I would contact Bosch.

When we built our home 2 1/2 years ago we chose Bosch appliances for our kitchen because it was a higher end brand and had high hopes for its performance. Unfortunately just after 2 1/2 years the hinges on this built in microwave convection oven broke and the warranty is only good for one year. Also it is extremely difficult to clean because of the heating element at the top of the oven. I wish it was removable because food splatters get stuck up there and it is extremely difficult to clean in between the heating element and the top of the microwave.

I love evertyhing about my new micro wave oven except the energy power saver on the clock an kitchen timer. The display goes dim after 30 minutes even if you are using the timer and it does not light up when you try and set it. Every time I use the kitchen timer I have to hit the settings button first to light up the display and then the clear botton just to set the time and heaven forbid setting the timer for more than 30 min it still goes dark even when its still running. I have gone into setting and changed the display brightness a dozen times and after 30 min its done, dim again. My Bosch dbl oven display stays bright 24/7

Purchased this microwave sight unseen. Recently installed along with matching oven and 800 series refrigerator and cooktop. From day one dim display on microwave/ light in display completely went out. Contacted Bosch, display panel replaced and light is still dim in comparison with oven. Waiting to see if it lasts.... also super disappointed with the opening of microwave, difficult to reach into and definitely more difficult to clean inside. If problem continues will look into getting a replacement ( different style perhaps??).

We purchased this unit as an integrated over/microwave combination approximately 3 years ago. The microwave recently called it quits and we were told not reparable. The magnetron blew out. We are out of warranty, of course. Rather than spend a great deal of money for w new over/microwave, I tried contacting Bosch to inquire as to the possibility of finding a way to salvage the microwave section. Instead of a reply, all we get is promotional emails. I would strongly recommend avoiding this line. Actually, I would emphatically say to avoid this product. Both the product and product support have been sorely lacking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an apartment so I obviously don't get to choose my appliances, but this product was installed in place of a separate microwave and oven. I was nervous at first, but I don't really cook/bake much so this is fine for what I need. Here's why I'm writing this review: When I switch from using the rack vs the plate, it shouldn't be a two-handed job to remove the rack and find where to set it. It's just four hooks holding the rack so I have to bend down and lift the whole rack before pulling it out. This could've EASILY been made simpler by just doing a tiny suspension rail along the sides so I could slide out the rack - like how you move the racks in every other oven... It sounds like such a small thing to complain about, but when you have to do it constantly because it's my microwave and my oven, it becomes quite irritating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to replace our built in microwave so decided to replace both the microwave and oven. There are so many options out there but we ended up choosing the Bosch 500 Series. Of course we were nervous about this unit as we had a reliable unit for 20 years. The next day after install was Thanksgiving and wow, this unit blew away all my expectations. I was able to cook everything at one time which I could not do with my old unit. I then did all my Christmas baking 2 weeks later and wow, this made my job much easier to bake more sheets of cookies at one time. I am extremely happy with my choice of Bosch.
