After 30+ years of use, my Cuisinart food processor finally had to be changed. After much research I chose this Breville model and am glad that I did. It has a big capacity - very handy size when doing large quantities and for making cakes. This is my all-in-one machine. I use this to make cakes and my Cuisinart leaked with liquidy cake batters due to the design. This Breville design nicely prevents liquid leakage. The open bowl allows for easily emptying of contents. The blades are easy to change and are designed for extremely easy cleanup. The machine is not light. The base is definitely heavy but that is good so it does not move around during operation. Comes with a nice assortment of blades. Breville definitely put some thought into this machine. Well done!

After using the Breville food processor for one and a half years, I must say that I'm disappointed with its quality. The bottom of the bowl where it attaches to the base has developed some cracks, and there are other cracks in the middle of the bowl as well. I have only washed it on the top shelf of the dishwasher and never dropped or bumped it anywhere. Additionally, if you want to use it for making dough, you cannot have more than one or two cups, or else it gets stuck. Given its high price, I do not recommend this product.

This Breville costs a bit more but beats the competition: - it is very solid - the bowl is sealed - the bowl and lid lock easily, without a fuss - the motor is powerful - the slicing blade is adjustable - it is easy to use, just power on and select continuous or pulse action - the work bowl has a pouring spout and volume markings - it is easy to clean I have used the Breville food processor for slicing, shredding and mixing. I have chopped onions, made salsa, made pie crust, dumplings, and more. I recommend it!

It makes cooking a lot easier and we use it to make carrot cakes that we used to only get from Dim Sum restaurants. It cuts mushrooms perfectly, too. The build quality is quite solid as far as I can tell. Yes it does cost a bit more that's why we bought it only when on sale. (still more expensive than competing models.) But the quality is worth the additional costs. It has the perfect size and power for our family's needs. We did review a Youtube video done by a professional chef, you may search for it to compare against other models or get an idea of the size. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Love it and definitely worth spending a little more. Most processors have plastic gears, not Breville very impressed metal gear. When blending it is so much quieter than the previous food processor we’ve had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my food processor! I got this to help in the kitchen as I expanded my kitchen skills. This has been a great investment. It is more expensive than some other brands, but for me it is worth it. It is very sturdily built, but easy to put together and easy to clean. The base is very heavy and the cord is short, but neither has been a huge issue for me in using it. I've only used the S and dough blades so far but have been very pleased with how they have held up. I wouldn't necessary compare the use of a dough blade to that of a kitchen aid, but it works in a pinch. I personally hand wash all pieces even though it says that SOME parts are dishwasher safe just to be safe and insure long time use.

The first time I used it for grading cheese, some of it got caught between the disk and the lid and stalled the motor. Upon inspection of the bottom of the motor unit I noticed that it only had 700 Watts instead of the advertised 1000 watts.

I knew I needed a new food processor for a long time but was so hesitant to spend the $$$ as I thought it was an appliance that would not get used all that often. Fast forward to a day when I really needed my clunker to work and it just died...cue frustration and tantrum! Immediately purchased the 12-cup and am thrilled! I have used it more in the 2 months that I have had it than I ever thought I would. It is so quiet and powerful. My only complaint is the very short cord - it does need to be longer. Overall - am very happy with the product and am a fan of Breville!

I love my new food processor! The adjustable slicing blade is fantastic and I like the three size options for adding items to be processed. The biggest negative is the short cord. It s ridiculously short and is just barely long enough for me to plug it in right in front of my counter backsplash plug and be able to have enough clearance below the cupboards to still be able to feed items into the food processor feed slot. I wish it were even 3 inches longer to give me just a bit more working room. Otherwise, it's great so far!

Checked out reviews which were very positive so was the just released magazine Protégez-vous which praised the results and coincided with our results. We like its simplicity and results in chopping vegetables and salads. A minor inconvenience is cannot have accessories in dishwater but understand that soap used is quite agressive. Very pleased with quality of construction and results.
