[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good ink cartridge that is easy to replace, and part of a common sense system of individual color cartridges rather than one requiring replacement of single, multi-color cartridges. The negative about this cartridge, and the reason why I am reluctant not to recommend it, is that it is at the end of its product life cycle. I know most people would not buy a printer based on ink cartridge availability, but "planned obsolescence" in technology is making this ink cartridge harder to find on the shelf. Good or bad, this could likely be the first time I have ever had a home-use printer (Brother MFC-790CW) outlast its ink cartridge availability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy the printer. It is also a copier, fax, and scanner. It is very easy to use and the whole house can use it, since it's wireless. The cost of the ink is too high. My roommate and I bought the printer in Nov 2009, and we have replaced the black cartridge once and it is now time to replace all four cartridges. If I would have know that every four months I was going to have to spend 60 dollars on ink, I would have bought a different printer. The printer was on sale for 79.99 when I purchased it, and it was a deal, or so I thought.

Before I came upon the brother printer and its easy to use cartridge system I was always looking to purchase the next printer available. Now that I have this one and its cartridge system, I would not trade it for anything. I am now excited that they are offering the cartridges in single packs because you don't always run out o the colors at the same time. The ink is inexpensive but has a phenomenal print quality.

Color in printed pictures seems quite good, but either they have a very low ink capacity or our Brother printer (MFC-J630W) drinks ink when we're not around. We don't print a ton of pictures and use the gray scale printer function whenever possible, but seems like there's always a low cartridge. If I knew for sure it was a thirsty printer versus small capacity would bump it up a star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every time I buy brothers printer ink cartridge LC61CK. I print out about 20 - 50 sheets and don't use for about a month and when I go to print again it tell me it out of ink. I shake it several times and still say out of ink. The thing is it uses four cartridge and if one empty you cannot print even if the other three are full. I will be replacing my Brothers printer with another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this because my current cartridge was running out. Made the mistake of opening the package before reeving the old cartridge. The old cartridge broke in the printer and the printer would no longer function. Couldn't take it back because it had been opened. This model cartridge is not used on any of the current Brother models.So it was a wasted purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these cartridges are: 1) over-priced; 2) and the toner evaporates very quickly when not in use and does not last long. Unfortunately, the manufacturer(Brother) and some 3rd party companies offer these. I've tried the 3rd party version and it's just as bad. I only recommend these if you want a toner cartridge that will fit and work without any problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ink I purchased to refill my printer. Unfortunately, my printer 'died' and I recently had to purchase another Brother printer. My only problem is that I bought a full set of new ink that will not work with the new computer. It would sure be nice if each printer manufacturer would have the ink cartridges be interchangeable with their various models.

Therefore there is no need to worry about my printer being damaged or destroyed. Generic Brands will damage and destroy your printer after using them for a moderate period of time.In the end, you haven't saved money based upon the fact that you will need to purchase a new printer.
