[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The printer is great and having this toner is so much better than ink. the printing is crisp, clean and water resistant. Laser/Toner printers also print considerably faster than inkjets. The toner doesn't dry out like ink so for those that don't print a lot this is a much cheaper way to go in the long run than ink. Price per page coupled with the ability to go unused for months make this a better way to go. The toner also prints thousands of pages rather than hundreds. Although the upfront cost is higher, the long run cost is way less. 2,600 pages/cartridge for $61.49 vs 316 pages for $21.99 or 2.4 cents per page vs 68 cents per page.

If the printed page gets uneven after months of use, remove the cartridge and shake it side-to-side to restore quality. I get many months of use from the TN-660 (it's the "high-yield" size). Very happy. By the way, always buy genuine laser toner cartridges; the 3rd party "bojack" units are unreliable and the cost savings is minimal. My experience has been that the 3rd party cartridges (which may be new or "refilled") always exhibit some sort of streak or spots/lines that never resolve themselves. I know better now. (For color inkjets, that's a different story. LD brand work well.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only purchased brother toner cartridges never off brand. I have yet to have a problem with it recognizing brother toners. My reason giving it 4 stars is that I don’t believe you get 2,600 pages. I replaced it with the one that came with the printer so this is my first high yield cartridge for this printer (I have another brother printer/scanner/copier which a high yield cartridge last 9-10 months. I’m a college student that prints power points for my classes and I printer everyday items as well.) I love laser printers for the fact the toner lasts longer than inkjet ink which always dried up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While we used the cheap knockoffs before, there's absolutely no comparison to the Brother brand toner. The print quality is just much better, because there are no shadows/shadow streaks (as small as these might be with knockoffs) and I'm pretty sure the Brother brand toner will last a lot longer than the cheap knockoffs which often only reach a fifth of the indicated capacity/page count. Even though it may "hurt" to spend a lot more for the original than for some cheap knockoff, it does really pay to purchase the original Brother brand toner if someone is interested in excellent print quality.
