    Attractive ss side by side

    Reviewed by - April 27, 2022

Compared to the Monogram refrigerator that I had years ago, this refrigerator/freezer is far superior and the Monogram was a more expensive line. It functions! I had said that I would not have a GE Appliance again after my Monogram experience, but this one has done the job. The freezer is a bit small if you don't have a separate freezer and tend to stock up on foods. The finish is hard to keep polished. I use a well known quality spray stainless cleaner and, as you can see, there is a smudgy appearance on the doors. Otherwise, this is a great refrigerator. It is reliable and fits well in our kitchen.

    Faulty Ice maker

    Reviewed by - July 14, 2024

Love the sleek look of this refrigerator but unfortunately they installed a faulty icemaker in all models. Read the reviews before purchasing. We’ve had our icemaker replaced and repaired 3x and still have no ice. When you pay this much for a refrigerator you would expect a good icemaker but not in this model.

    Mediocre for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The location of the icebox in the freezer is inconvenient and difficult. Terrible design. The depth of the shelves overall is too shallow for the size of the fridge. And finally, the bright lights in the refrigerator are horrifying at any time of the day. I wish there was a dimmer..

    Ice area hard to access

    Reviewed by - October 25, 2020

We like almost everything about this fridge... big shelves on the door, plenty of room. The ice maker is hard to access. If you get it without the water in the door feature, the ice area is very high and has a small access panel. There is a little flap that is hard to get open so we simply leave it up. My wife and kids have a hard time reaching in through the small high opening and can only get a few cubes at a time. The ice bucket also has a big thick housing around it so it’s tough to pull out and you have to fit it back in properly when you pull it out. In the grand scheme of things it’s a minor nit, we’d give it 4.5 stars but that’s not an option.

    Beautiful exterior and interior

    Reviewed by - July 16, 2022

Replaced a built-in refrigerator with this built-in unit. Difficult delivery due to height and weight of unit, but well-trained techs got it in my house without damage! Only disappointment is the ice maker. If you're over 6 feet tall, it is not a problem - but for most others, VERY difficult and inconvenient to retreive ice from the bin. This unit does NOT have a through the door dispenser - and ice bin is at the top of the freezer with very awkward access to ice. When bin is full, ice builds up and falls behind the bin, to the bottom of the freezer where it is very difficult to retreive due to shelves and wire bins.

    Hummmm?

    Reviewed by - March 29, 2022

My first, in a long time refrigerator without water and ice in the door. This came with the condo we purchased and definitely would not have been my first choice. The refrigerator section is okay - freezer is small and the ice maker is ridiculous. There is no way to efficiently get ice out of the bin and not leave the door open for an excessive amount of time. I am 5’8’’ and to reach in for the ice is still an effort. You need an extra bin to store the ice that is made so it is easily descended, which takes up valuable freezer space. A design remake is needed - especially for the freezer area. Does the refrigerator work - yes and that’s about it and it looks nice!

    Stay away from this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish it stay cold only had this 10k fridge for 3 years! One would think when you spend that much money on a refrigerator you’re getting a better value, but we have had somebody out twice and the same problem reoccurs GE wants to do nothing about it except charge me. It’s not under the warranty, 10k down the drain! I understand that, but for 10 grand, I would go choose a better fridge.

    Good until it needs service

    Reviewed by - October 2, 2024

I like the fridge. I don’t like GE customer care. We have had our fridge for a few years. It’s been pretty good. A decent value at way less $$ than Sub Z About six weeks ago, the evaporator fan blade started sounding less like a gentle hum and more like a helicopter taking off. We’ve had two service calls since—the first one replaced the evaporator fan(which did not solve the problem) and the second one came out and said there is nothing more to do. This is very poor service. Our fridge is ridiculously loud!! It must be fixed…this is equivalent to taking your car in for service because it’s belching black smoke and the repair shop concluding “everything is fine—your car just belches black smoke now.”
