Maxify delivers
- June 18, 2021This printer was simply to setup, and was put right to work. Can handle a large volume of printing with two paper trays ! Quality of print is good. The cartridge assembly required the replacement of one ink cartridge that ran out of ink, and I had to research steps to take to release the housing to the correct spot.( a downside) Cartridges are a fair price. On a side note, Best Buy should use another service provider other than FedEx for delivery. It was dropped in an apartment lobby where anyone could have stolen it, along with a carton of paper. For this reason I would hesitate to purchase again. I made a complaint about this, and received poor response.

Extremely short lifespan
- April 20, 2022This printer was working fine in our office for the a year and half (although the resolution for some color print jobs was not the best), when it suddenly got an error code that completely blocks it and doesn't allow for any use. After researching we found out it was the printer head that was broken, but the error code blocking everything means we can't even use the scanner anymore. And since it broke just over a year after we purchased it, it means the manufacturer warranty is of no use to fix the problem. Extremely disappointed as the printer was only used a couple of days a week, and very lightly at that. Will certainly NOT be buying one like this again.

Received a refurbished printer
- December 2, 2021Very disappointed! Purchased this printer and when I went to set it up everything seemed fine. I removed the stickers and plastic and then came time for the ink. It didn't have any packaging and the printer never prompted me to set anything up when I plugged it in. I checked the info to see how many pages had been printed, copied, scanned etc and came to find out almost 2000 pages had been printed. The ink levels weren't even full. Very disappointed. Has to trek all the way back to best buy where the cashiers were Rude and unapologetic. Will not be purchasing a new print from here again

Don't buy this printer
- May 13, 2020The print quality on this printer is fantastic, however replacing the ink cartridges costs more than the printer itself. Buying knock off cartridges causes the printer to malfunction. You can only remove one ink cartridge at a time so you essential need two sets of cartridges if you want to refill the ink. Using refilled ink cartridges means you have to go through a 20 mins of 'trouble shooting' before the printer will print again. Did you remove an ink cartridge? Now none of the functions of the printer scanner work. This should be considered a one use printer.

Worst printer I have ever used
- November 24, 2022I bought this printer for my grandfather because it had all of the functions he wanted. It is NOT user friendly and takes a VERY long time to warm up. It is loud and constantly shows errors on the screen. If the colour ink runs out, the machine will not even let you print in Black until the cartridge is replaced! I can understand what they were going for in designing this machine, but it is not worth the hassle to try to use it for home printing. I have been trying to use the printer now myself for months and it is incredibly frustrating. I will never buy another Canon printer again. I think I will switch back to HP!

Garbage
- January 27, 2020Want to quickly print a single page? Too bad - it'll click and clank and tell you it's "processing the data" but it's a good 2-3 minutes before it actually starts printing. Want to connect wirelessly? Well - it might do, but it also might not. The instructions to run it border on useless - it took me a good two hours or iteratively trying different combinations of entries to get it to connect to the computer wirelessly and the wired instructions weren't much better. The scanner works okay, but I could never get it to run from the computer, forcing me to use the super janky touch screen interface on the printer. In short - don't buy this piece of junk and save yourself the aggravation I've experienced with it.

Wont operate correctly
- March 14, 2020The installation of the printer was pretty simple and I successfully connected the printer to my home wifi network. Unfortunately whenever I try to use it an error message comes up and the printer doesn't work. I've now surrendered and use a usb cable I had from a previous printer and now the printer prints. Success? No. Even with the usb cable the printer refuses to scan documents. If it weren't past the 30 day return policy I would have returned this printer. I'm debating putting it to the curb and lighting it on fire.

Great as a standalone butt...
- December 7, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PROS: The all in one is great (of course because it's new), I'm able to do faxes copies and prints quick enough. CONS: 1) It's confusing to setup first, seems like you can only do it with the smartphone app. 2) Also it has connectivity issues with WI-FI, it takes a while for my PC to detect it in the network. I like to have my network printers visible in my network and easy to access wirelessly. 3) Because of the connectivity issue I turn off ECO mode and automatic power off but the problem persists My router is in the same room as the printer. 4) There aren't many software drivers available for different Windows OS'es. Currently I'm running it on server 2012.

No misfeeds! Super fast printing.
- February 4, 2017[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I need a printer that just works every time and gets the job done quickly. i'm happy to say this printer has met those requirements. I love that, between the two trays, it holds a whole ream of paper. i'm not sure yet how much ink it will go through before replacement. The ink is not cheap but I bought the XL version. We will see how long it lasts. Set up was easy, the only problem I've had is, I have to go over to the printer and turn it on before I select print from a wireless device or else it does not receive the signal. The printer is huge but it does hold a whole ream of paper. All in all, best printer I have had!

Very disappointed
- October 19, 2017[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having three successive HP all in one printers with them not lasting more than three years, I thought I would try a different brand. I did not like the ease of use of this Canon from the beginning (maybe because I found HP's very easy and intuitive). Printing copies seemed very slow, dual paper trays added a complication rather than a benefit for me and the first color ink cartridges I replaced showed up as being barely one quarter full (not sure if that was a printer or ink cartridge error). Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty (which I highly recommend on these seemingly disposable printers) and returned the Canon for an HP 8720. Hope I have better luck!
