In the details
Unleash your creative visions and capture extremely detailed, high-resolution photos at quick speeds with the Canon EOS 70D DSLR's 20.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor. The ability to capture fast-moving action as it happens is aided by the camera's continuous shooting up to 7fps. Its DIGIC 5+ image processor offers superior processing speeds and crisp photos with less noise.
One of your first instincts when you capture a truly great photograph is to share it with others. With the camera's built-in WiFi transmitter, you can wirelessly share your photos through IMAGE GATEWAY, or to social media sites, like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. You can even share images between WiFi enabled Canon cameras.
Make sharing even easier on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Canon's CameraWindow app. It lets you upload footage and photos virtually anywhere on your Apple mobile device.
With a cross-type 19-point AutoFocus, you get the quickest and highest-precision focus, regardless of vertical or horizontal subject patterns and your camera orientation. Additionally, Canon's innovative Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus predicts your subject's location and tracks them as they move.
A great view
Compose shots, review them, and preview creative filters for total creative control and accuracy using the Clear View LCD monitor. Switch the monitor into Live View mode and take full advantage of the Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus by capturing video with smooth and precise autofocus similar to a camcorder.
The 3-inch viewfinder can be your personal editing suite. In-camera imaging features include: HDR Mode (combining the best of 3 photos taken at different exposure levels), Multiple Exposure mode, and Creative Filters.

- Gerat for an enthusist, and I belive for Pro- September 28, 2013
This is an awesome camera. I have it set to turn off very quickly, when I ant to take a picture just pressing the trigger button starts, focuses, and gets the first picture in 0.6 second. It seems instant. On continuous it can take about 7 or 3 frames a second, for birds in flight I use 3 fps. Even though this is my first DLSR I as able to get great shots in Automatic right out of the box. The camera has many features and options, and will take time to learn. One of the things that I wanted to do with my Canon Point & Shoot was to get pictures of small birds in the bush, this one does it well, but will require a novice to read instructions.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- FROM A 40D TO A 70D = BIG JUMP- December 28, 2013
I MOVED FROM 40D TO 70D FOR THE TILT SCREEN AND MOVIE MODE. WENT WITH A BODY ONLY AS I ALREADY HAD GREAT CANON LENS. FOR ME THE LEARNING CURVE HAS AND IS HARD TO LEARN. IT IS A LOT MORE CAMERA IN ALL ASPECTS THAN MY 40D WAS, THE MORE I USE IT THE MORE I LIKE IT. AND I HAVE NOT EVEN GOTTEN IN TO THE HDR YET. FOR THE CAMERA IT IS, THE MANUAL IS A JOKE. IT IS A COMPLEX CAMERA TO FIGURE OUT. I AM SOLO WITHOUT ANY ONE TO HELP WITH TRYING TO SORT ALL THE FEATURES AND HOW TO ACESS THEM. THE ARSNEL FROM ABOUT 1974 T50, T90, 2 X AE1, AE1 PROGRAM, S5IS, A2000, A4000, SX40, 2X 40D, AND NOW 70D. 40 YEARS COAST TO COAST AND 2 MALFUNCITIONS AND CANON WAS FAST TO THE RESCUE. I THINK THAT IS PRETTY GOOD SO I WILL STICK WITH MY CANON.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Amazing camera- September 16, 2015
I previously owned a 60D and was hesitant about upgrading but after researching it finally decided to bite the bullet. I bought this as the body only since i already had an 18-135mm lens and love this camera! I cant think of a single thing i dont like about it. From beginners to professionals as a backup this camera is great for anyone. You have the flip screen which is great for tripod use or hard to reach spots, the video quality is amazing, it shoots at fast shutter speeds, has a fast frames per second, and also has multi point focus instead of a single point of focus like the previous 60D. All in all, an amazing cameraYes, I would recommend this to a friend.
