    A battery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a good battery. It dies a bit for me, but that depends on the useage. It I am taking a lot of pictures in a couple of hours, the battery life doesn't seem to last too long.

    Canon Battery

Reviewed by Shutter Bug - June 1, 2021

The cannon battery is a good quality item and much better for holding a charge than the knock off brands that are somewhat cheaper. This item was ordered on a Friday and was to be delivered on Monday, Tuesday I got a phone call from Purolator saying they needed a business name to deliver the parcel too. I had my name and address filled out completely on the address form, so if Purolator needs more information for shipping, then Best Buy needs to revise their forms to accommodate more information. After playing phone tag with Purolator I finally received my purchase Thursday, it was in great shape and as advertised.

Canon batteries from Best Buy are pretty awesome

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 18, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do you have battery needs for your Canon camera? Then look no further than this little beauty, which--as the name emblazoned on the side points out--is made specifically for some types of Canon cameras! Just ask your friendly local Best Buy camera person if it's right for your camera so you don't fry said camera by jamming this thing into the wrong camera! Now, of course, you will have to charge this little devil before you can use it, but you'll have to use your own electrical sockets at your house, because I don't think Best Buy sells houses, and even if they did, they'd probably make you pay for your own electricity....but just think--I bet that if you DID buy a house from Best Buy, you'd probably be able to get them to throw in one of these little guys, absolutely FREE! Call now for details!

More than 2 hours of 1080p / 60 fps of Recording

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 4, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this LP-E12 rechargeable battery for my Canon EOS M50. I needed this spare battery for video recording. I tested the battery life and I was able to record about 2 hours and 21 minutes straight of 1080p / 60fps worth of video. However, if I tried to record at 4K, the battery life is severely drained about an hour or so. The higher the recording resolution, the faster the battery drains. I recommend to price match this battery - I was able to get this battery for $50.

    Don't buy any imitations

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 7, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't buy any imitations. I looked up the alternative to the factory battery because yes it is cheaper but they do not last as long. However, the factory battery were sold out. I ordered it and payed a little more but it is worth it. The only reason why i gave it a 4 is because of the price. I have to charge the battery after an hour but that could be because I am in movie mode. Last longer than my Sony!!

Canon brand is better than the cheaper brands.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 3, 2014

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This battery has a reasonably long life for its size. These smaller batteries just don't last as long as some of the large batteries. Can't be helped, it is just the way it is. I always carry one or two backup batteries if I'm going to be out for several hours. I've missed some really good shots in the past due to no battery power. Extra batteries are worth the cost.

    Batteries for the go.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 27, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed extra batteries especially when I have to take video recording periodically.I went with OEM batteries because I have found the 3rd party batteries don’t last as long, expand under use which makes it harder to remove from the camera, and possible safety issues with 3rd party batteries. OEM (canon branded in my case) batteries are the way to go.
