Legend by Clannad, the BAFTA Award-winning and iconic 8th studio album from 1984, served as the soundtrack for the cult British TV series, Robin of Sherwood. The album vividly captures the mystical and atmospheric essence of the show, blending traditional Irish folk with contemporary sounds. Renowned for their ethereal and haunting style, Clannad utilize a mix of acoustic instruments, lush harmonies, and synthesizers to create a rich, otherworldly ambiance. The band members - Ciar?n Brennan, M?ire (Moya) Brennan, P?l Brennan, and siblings Noel & P?draig Duggan - craft a soundscape that transports listeners to the legendary world of Robin Hood. Key tracks like, "Robin (The Hooded Man)," and "Together We," showcase their ability to weave narrative and melody seamlessly, reflecting the adventure and romance of the Robin Hood legend. The use of M?ire's ethereal vocals adds an enchanting layer to the music, enhancing the album's mystical quality. 2024 remaster, standard black vinyl.
