CONTOUR DESIGN MOUSE ROLLERMOUSE RED PC/MAC (RM-RED)

The Contour Design RollerMouse Re:d is the latest generation of the proven Rollermouse family, which all use a central pointing device which uses a rollerbar instead of a traditional mouse and are positioned between the user and their keyboard or laptop. This allows the user to avoid the 'reach' for the mouse, and move their cursor and click in the space between themselves and their keyboard. The four main improvements on this model include a sleek aluminum housing which is sturdy, a newly redesigned rollerbar with added thickness and texture and a completely different tracking technology from that used in previous models and a new 'virtual' click mechanism to replace the previous mechanical mechanism. The design is ambidextrous, as the 7" bar can move along the entire 16" width of the device. The cursor is moved by rolling a 'dowel' or cylinder-shaped bar with the fingertips to achieve 'up' and 'down' movement, and sliding this bar from side to side for horizontal movement. Pressing down on the bar will create a left click action. Eight buttons and a scroll wheel are located below the bar to generate left/middle/right/double clicks, copy, paste and vertical scrolling. There is also a DPI adjustment to toggle from 800 to 2400 dpi to allow the user to select their preferred cursor speed.
