  • Poor Quality Unit
    Reviewed by LenD - July 4, 2019

Poor quality unit! At times runs smoothly but most of the time it's very noisy and vibrates the kitchen counter. Feels like it's about to blow. Also poor design as it sprays coffee outside the cup making for a messy clean up after each use. My previous 25 dollar unit worked much better. Would expect more from this company

  • Too much style but a good unit
    Reviewed by J Perry Arnott - May 23, 2016

We have had several coffee grinders over the years and this one appears to be among the better examples. Chief among the good features is simplicity - you push the switch, it grinds the coffee until you stop. No fancy timers, no tricky amount and grind preference switches. Hit the switch, grind the coffee. Another good thing is the detachable, steel, grind bowl which is very easy to clean. There are two things that are irritating. The chief one is the design of the plastic lid which is quite difficult to clean and to dry. That is because it is formed to match the base, itself far too big so that it can visually integrate with the Cuisinart coffee makers. The size makes it difficult to hold one-handed. The other problem is the cord storage which simply does not work - the cord can not be pushed back into the body to any extent and pushing it dangerously bends the cord. Overall, however, I am quite happy with the unit and would recommend it - especially at the sale price that I was offered by Best Buy.

  • Great value

I use my grinder only for coffee, and after several weeks of at least two uses daily, there is no evidence of damage or defects. A ten-second cycle produces consistent grounds for my matching Cuisinart drip coffee machine, and since the two look elegant together, I feel no need to put the grinder away between uses. I owned a previous edition of this same grinder, and used it for 5+ years. The only other model I seriously considered for its replacement is from Kitchen Aid, and is about twice the price.
