A technician will install and connect a dishwasher on-site.

The technician will:

  • Install a shut-off valve, supply line and any other minor plumbing and electrical as required up to existing branch wiring and plumbing source found near the point of install.
  • Turn on hot water feed and check all connections.
  • Inspect and ensure any surrounding mechanical services are intact and free of leaks following the installation.
  • Ensure discharge hose is properly looped to prevent backflow into dishwasher.
  • Ensure dishwasher is properly grounded.

What you need to know:

  • The dishwasher location cannot be in excess of ten (10) feet from the water source (normally the kitchen sink).
  • The service does not include modifying cabinetry or roughing in a new electrical or plumbing connection from the electrical panel or water source outside of the room where the unit is being installed.
  • Permits are not included. If required, the technician will secure them and will charge the client directly using the QC secure payment system on-site via the client’s credit card.

    Purchased this appliance package from Best Buy, including the haul away service and dishwasher installation. Customer service botched the haul away and delivery times. They gave me a 3 hour delivery window, however, the rep scheduled the haul away at a different 3 hour window than the delivery time and failed to notify me. I'm not sure why they didn't schedule the haul away for the same time as delivery. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with another rep to fix the issue. Delivery was late and when they showed up, they ended up damaging my wall from removing the old fridge and did not let me know. I found this out after they had left. The delivery people did not level my appliances as advertised by Best Buy on this site. In fact, my fridge was so uneven it was partially leaning on the wall. Finally, the installation was scheduled for the same day but the installer was given the wrong address and did not end up coming. It was difficult reaching anyone on the phone to help me resolve these issues and I had to call multiple times. Received an email 1 week later from Best Buy asking whether I want the delivery team to come back to level the appliances but they did not mention any resolution for my damaged wall. Very unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend ordering major appliances from Best Buy.

    Not recommending. Managers don't listen to you when you are booking. They dont know what service they offering or not offering. Booked it and technician came one week later and told he can't do it. Because the machine was second hand. Even mentioned this 3 times before buying this service. they told us it is ok. Until they have knowledge staff and managers don't book this.

    I bought various appliances and booked installation for most of them. The delivery was done on time, but the installers never showed up on the appointment day. On calling Best Buy, I was directed to talk to 3 different people and then I was told that someone would call me after half an hour. I received a call to notify that installation was not booked at all and now they were trying to book it. This was for a house that is in a different city for which I had to take days off from work to accept delivery and installation. I suggest calling multiple times before your appointment to ensure they have it on their system.
