    Paid but no Installation provided

    I bought various appliances and booked installation for most of them. The delivery was done on time, but the installers never showed up on the appointment day. On calling Best Buy, I was directed to talk to 3 different people and then I was told that someone would call me after half an hour. I received a call to notify that installation was not booked at all and now they were trying to book it. This was for a house that is in a different city for which I had to take days off from work to accept delivery and installation. I suggest calling multiple times before your appointment to ensure they have it on their system.

    bosch dishwasher installation

    The installation handyman arrived on time. He explained all the problems with the current water intake connections. He found an innovative solution to get the dishwasher installed. He had to install a new shutoff connector, drill new holes through the cupboards in order to get the intake line installed. Dishwasher works fine. As far as the Bosch 300 series dishwasher, it cleans the dishes well. There is a small amount of water left on top of the cups and plastic dishes but this is not a big deal. The old dishwasher worked the same way. There is a slight chemical smell when you first open the door after a normal run but it disappears quickly.

    Terrible experience with technician

    The technician Jason was terrible. He kept giving reasons why he couldn't install the dishwasher. The first time he came, he said we needed a plumber to install a shutoff valve (even though best buy website says shut off valve installation is included in the installation service fee). After we had a plumber do that, Jason came a second time and told us that since the flooring didn't extend under our current dishwasher, he couldn't remove it. He said we'd need to remove flooring in front of the dishwasher or remove the countertop to get it out. We were so tired of dealing with this technician, that we decided to get someone else to do it (who did it in a couple of hours without removing the flooring or countertop). Terrible experience. Will never pay for installation through Best Buy again. Best Buy refunded the entire amount, but the hassle and stress was not worth it.

    Horrible service

    Not recommending. Managers don't listen to you when you are booking. They dont know what service they offering or not offering. Booked it and technician came one week later and told he can't do it. Because the machine was second hand. Even mentioned this 3 times before buying this service. they told us it is ok. Until they have knowledge staff and managers don't book this.

    Unreliable

    Purchased this appliance package from Best Buy, including the haul away service and dishwasher installation. Customer service botched the haul away and delivery times. They gave me a 3 hour delivery window, however, the rep scheduled the haul away at a different 3 hour window than the delivery time and failed to notify me. I'm not sure why they didn't schedule the haul away for the same time as delivery. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with another rep to fix the issue. Delivery was late and when they showed up, they ended up damaging my wall from removing the old fridge and did not let me know. I found this out after they had left. The delivery people did not level my appliances as advertised by Best Buy on this site. In fact, my fridge was so uneven it was partially leaning on the wall. Finally, the installation was scheduled for the same day but the installer was given the wrong address and did not end up coming. It was difficult reaching anyone on the phone to help me resolve these issues and I had to call multiple times. Received an email 1 week later from Best Buy asking whether I want the delivery team to come back to level the appliances but they did not mention any resolution for my damaged wall. Very unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend ordering major appliances from Best Buy.

    Very disappointing

    The technician did not arrive for the scheduled appointment, which wasted five hours of my Saturday. In trying to get this resolved, I had to phone back four times to find the correct person to speak to. I would not recommend this at all

    Terrible Booking System

    They repeatedly called me and left voice mails asking for me to book an installation, but whenever I called back a random song would play and then it would hang up. Once I eventually got to the booking woman and made my appointment, I thought everything had been cleared up, boy was I wrong! They ended up booking 3 separate appointments for installing the dishwasher, and I got a random call on a day I was busy that the service man was waiting to be let in. Mind you I never booked for this day. The day I did book for was set to be installed from 7am-12pm, to which I did not get a call until 11 that they would be arriving at 2pm, I woke up at 6:30am for nothing! The serviceman on the phone seemed pretty annoyed with best buy for their multiple scheduling, as was I. Never ordering from them again

    So far, pretty bad service

    This review is about Best Buy. So far, the service has been really bad. Best Buy doesn't seem able to communicate with customers and having one dishwasher delivered and installed and the other dishwasher uninstalled and removed seems to be total chaos in the Best Buy universe that I now find myself sucked into. I purchased a dishwasher. I put in my landline. When I found out that I needed to receive texts, on two occasions I changed it to my mobile, but my landline remained the point of contact. I was told by the initial person I dealt with to arrange and pay for delivery, installation and removal, that I would get a call to set up the delivery. 4 days later, no call, so I called and mentioned I hadn't received a call and I was told it had been assigned to someone and i'd be contacted. Turns out I was contacted by having it scheduled for me, on a day I could not do. At this point, I was charged for installation and removal of the dishwasher. I was told the installation would happen that day. I called to reschedule the installation and it took three staff to come up with another day that I could do. Great. Then the dishwasher was delivered. I asked the delivery person if I should turn off the power to remove the dishwasher. He said he wasn't there to deinstall, only to deliver, and he can't take my dishwasher if it's not uninstalled. He put the new dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen. He wouldn't allow me to call best buy to clarify when my dishwasher was being removed. He took off his mask inside my home to complain to his company. I had to ask him to put his mask on properly about 6 times. When it was established that I had to have a dishwasher in my living room, he didn't want to position it so it took up less space. At that point, I was on the phone with best buy and the staff was apologizing. They confirmed the dishwasher would be deinstalled and removed on the installation day. However, after we hung up, I checked and I received no email confirming that. So I phoned best buy again. I spoke with a very nice agent for approximately an hour, so she could put in writing for me that the old dishwasher would be deinstalled, and the new one installed on the same day, and then that the old dishwasher would be removed on a different day, after I received another confirmation by email. I think best buy could have saved several hours of their time and my time, and stress for everyone, if they had clearly laid out in emails the process of having one dishwasher removed and another installed. I haven't gone through the installation day yet, though. More can go wrong. To be clear, the employees for the most part have been helpful and great. But Best Buy's system is absolute chaos.
