As the larger center speaker in the Debut 3.0 series, the DC63 combines dual 6.5" aramid-fiber woofers with a custom 1" aluminum dome tweeter to anchor movies, television, music and gaming with articulate vocals and detailed sound.
The custom 1" aluminum dome tweeter is precisely tuned for the Debut 3.0 series to reproduce high frequencies with clarity, detail and smooth extension. Its lightweight, rigid construction helps reveal subtle soundtrack information while maintaining clear and natural dialogue across a wide range of content.
Dual 6.5" aramid-fiber woofers give the DC63 greater cone area for confident midrange and low-frequency performance. Aramid fiber combines high strength, low mass and natural damping, helping the woofers reproduce voices with natural weight while delivering the dynamic impact needed for demanding movie soundtracks.
The DC63 uses a 2-way sealed enclosure rather than a bass-reflex design. The sealed cabinet provides added placement flexibility, making the speaker easier to position close to a rear wall or within compatible entertainment cabinetry. This is especially useful for center-channel installations where available space around a television or media console may be limited.
Internal cabinet bracing reinforces the enclosure to reduce unwanted vibration and resonance, helping ensure that more of the sound you hear comes from the drivers rather than the cabinet. A 2,000 Hz crossover provides a smooth transition between the dual woofers and aluminum tweeter.
With a frequency response of 50 Hz to 38 kHz (-6 dB), 6-ohm nominal impedance and 87.5 dB sensitivity, the DC63 is designed to work with a broad range of AV receivers and amplifiers. ELAC recommends amplifier power from 30 to 140 watts, while peak power handling is rated at 120 watts.
