The Only Baby Carrier You Will Ever Need

    Reviewed by - October 3, 2019

This is the baby carrier I have been waiting for! It is a hybrid between a baby wrap and a structured carrier - combining features from both that you need from infant stage and beyond. First, I love the belt support and the shoulder straps. I never have any aches and pains wearing this for an extended period of time, which is one of my complaints when I use my structured carrier. It is also very easy to put on and remove. It is just like trying to put on a jacket - very straightforward! It takes me 20 seconds to put it on. I also love that it has a soft fabric which makes it more comfortable, breathable for me and my baby. I am also less worried if it rubs on his arms or cheeks because it is a soft piece of clothing. If your baby falls asleep while in it, you can easily put him down in a crib of bed without all the fumbling around. I also love that you can customize the fit for yourself and your partner and for your baby as he grows. I wish I had this for my first baby! Thank you yo Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this to me for testing and feedback.

    Simple, Snuggly Support

    Reviewed by - October 5, 2019

I had always planned on baby-wearing, and before my first I often daydreamed about toting my adorable bundle around in perfectly placed wrap or sporty carrier. Things didn’t exactly work out that way. While I have a traditional carrier and love it, it’s bulky and cumbersome, involving a lot of straps and adjusting. As such, I tend to decide not to throw it on as often because I’m honestly just too tired to deal with it. As for wraps, I tried several but couldn’t for the life of my get them to stay on right. Maybe it’s the seep deprivation, but my my wrapping and knot-tying skills are not on point and I had to ditch wraps pretty early on. When weeSpring Parent Panel gave me this baby carrier to review, I was so excited to try out something that was new to the market. At first glance it looks like a traditional carrier and wrap hybrid. The texture is soft and cuddly like a wrap, but with the clips and waist support of a traditional carrier. The straps are wide and fit across your shoulders, crisscrossing the back just like a wrap would, but without the cumbersome knot-tying and tucking as they clip into the sides with ease. I LOVE it. It’s quickly become one of my top recommended items for new moms. It hits all my must-haves: easy and quick to put on (speed is key here with a fussy baby and impatient toddler), supports my back and shoulders, and looks cute to wear. Definitely getting those serene mother-goddess vibes from this carrier as it elegantly drapes across your chest and snuggles baby in tight. The most important aspect of this carrier is how baby likes it. It’s soft and pliable, which allows it to conform to his body and wrap him in close without making him restricted or uncomfortable. The position it keeps him in supports his back and promotes healthy hip placement. The cut allows his neck to move freely and he enjoys being able to see and control the direction of his gaze. It also helps to encourage neck strength. I recommend this carrier. Easy to use. No complicated instructions. Feels great, looks great, baby loves it! Makes my life of chasing after my toddler easier, as you can see from the photos!

    Great Everyday Carrier

    Reviewed by - October 10, 2019

Ive been using the Ergobaby Embrace Carrier for a few weeks now. I used the Ergobaby structured carrier with my son, and don't get me wrong, it does the job. I hiked the Smoky Mountains with him in it as a 1 year old! However, it's bulky and awkward to sit in and not super comfortable for everyday baby wearing, so I was excited to try the new model. The Embrace has lots of upgrades that I appreciate. For starters, the straps buckle on the side of your body, so you don't need help to get baby in or out, or adjust the tension. It also doesn't require watching internet tutorials or learning origami to figure out how to use! Very simple. With a new baby, simple is a must! Also, the wrap as a whole is lightweight, and easily to fold up to keep in a diaper bag, so you can travel with it. It is much more comfortable to wear, and sit in. I can wear baby to church, and it's no problem to stand, sit down, or sit back in, particularly because there's no buckle in the middle of my back. The material is super soft, so I'd imagine if my daughter could talk, she'd say it's more comfortable, too. The part at the top that supports her head is padded and so is the waistband. There are no infant inserts or additional pieces to buy to carry a younger or smaller baby, you just roll the waistband. The only reason I give the carrier 4 stars instead of 5 is the shoulder straps. The ability to spread the straps down onto your shoulders is nice to adjust for baby's face, but I found they don't stay put. If I have to raise my arm to grab something on a shelf, for example, the straps slide back to the tops of my shoulders and they have to be readjusted, which does affect how secure baby is. I also feel like the straps have to be very tight under my chest to be able to bend over in the carrier and feel like baby is secure, and I still keep one arm on her when doing so, just in case. I do feel like that is the situation with every carrier I've tried, though, so not really a con, more of a common trait. Overall, way more pros and a big improvement when it comes to day to day wearing. Bottom line: it feels like a wrap, works like a structured carrier, is light and easy to travel with, adjustable for long term use and simple to put on. Definite buy! Just to clarify, I did receive the product free of charge to review for Stellar Panel.

    Absolutely love!

    Reviewed by - October 23, 2023

So I have only used this carrier twice- one for a coffee run and one for around the house. I had previously purchased another brand carrier that my son absolutely hated!! It took so long to get on and by the time we did he was screaming. Ergo baby has invented the most convenient and fast assembly, plus it’s stylish and warm for these cool fall days!! Highly recommend!!!

    Absolute best infant carrier!

    Reviewed by - October 2, 2019

So this is my third baby and I've been through This is my third baby and I've tried many different carriers. I love babywearing and keeping baby close especially in that newborn phase. The Ergobaby Embrace is so soft and light. It works better than a traditional wrap, which always seem to stretch too much for me, but with all the ease of a structured carrier. Putting the Ergobaby Embrace on is as easy as 1-2-3 snaps which is much easier than the material wraps that require a lot of folding and wrapping to get it ready for baby. It's also easier than most structured carriers in that adjusting for a newborn is just a simple folding over of the waist band. No infant insert is necessary with the Ergobaby Embrace so it fits easily in my diaper bag making it great for on the go. I love that this is so slim and light. The adjustable waistband is very structured making for a great base to support babies weight while still being soft and snug. The soft, spreadable shoulder straps are easily adjusted and comfortably supportive. The best thing about this carrier is everytime I wrap my fussy baby in it he calms right down and falls asleep. I would definitely recommend the Ergobaby Embrace to any mother who is looking for a great carrier with all the benefits of a structured carrier and all the coziness of a wrap. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with the Ergobaby Embrace baby carrier.

    My new favorite baby carrier!

    Reviewed by - October 4, 2019

I was given the Ergobaby Embrace Baby Carrier product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I have used both soft structured carriers and wraps in the past and this by far is my favorite because it is in my opinion the perfect hybrid. When I first put it on I couldn’t believe how incredibly comfortable it was, and I thought it was going to be tricky to get the straps to criss cross over my back but it was actually a snap and I was able to do it quickly and easily by myself. I think the thing that makes this carrier so comfortable is the spreadable shoulder straps and really soft material. Once you get it on its like a hug around you and your baby. My baby felt very cozy snuggled up to me in this carrier. Another reason why this carrier is now my new favorite is the way the baby sits in it. I’ve worried in the past about if my baby was comfortable dangling his legs and if he was getting his circulation cut off or red marks on his skin, but this carrier holds his bottom and legs so it’s like he is sitting down and it looks comfortable, feels comfortable, and I’ve never noticed any marks on his legs after using this carrier. That is a big win in my book. I also don’t have to worry about the material scratching his soft skin when he rubs his face back and forth or falls asleep and his head goes to the side because the material is soft everywhere on the carrier. I also appreciate that the carrier has pictures of the correct way to put it on right on the carrier itself. I used to have to keep the manuals and dig them out once my baby got bigger to review the do’s and don’t but this carrier has them right there for you which is really convenient. Finally, I really love that I can roll it up and tuck it under my stroller or throw it in the back of the car when I travel. It’s so nice to not have straps everywhere to wrestle with on the go like I’ve done in the past. Overall I highly recommend this carrier and will continue to use it as my go to.

Soft and cozy, lacks support for bigger babies

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 5, 2020

The embrace is so soft and cozy and my baby loves it. I got it when she was 7 weeks and use it every day. Was especially handy after her 2 month vaccinations when she didn’t want to be put down all day. I still get my baby snuggles and can get things down around the house- laundry, cooking and even eating while wearing her. Worth every penny. The one thing that is a negative is that it doesn’t have a lot of support so after a couple of hours wearing her my back starts to get sore. My baby is currently 12 pounds. As the baby grows I think I’ll start using a more structured carrier more frequently. It’s perfect for the first few months but I don’t think I will use it as much as she gets older

    Great for Dads

    Reviewed by - October 7, 2019

I recieved the ErgoBaby Embrace as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Ergo Baby Embrace was a good fit for when used. It was not as snug as I wanted it to be but our baby is on the smaller size. It was easy to put on and put the baby in without any help, even with a fussy baby. I am a bigger dad, first baby but already have the dad bod and this fit great. I was loose enough to feel comfortable yet supportive enough for me to feel safe having my baby in it. The look was simple and clean compared to other carriers and didn't make me look like I am carrying a parachute or strapped to a carnival ride. Overall I would definitely recommend this to other fathers who want a better option to carry their child.

    Comfortable

    Reviewed by - November 14, 2019

I’ve only worn this a few times but so far I’m enjoying it. I didn’t want a normal carrier with thick fabric but also didn’t want a wrap because I didn’t want to have to wrap it every single time I wore it. I’m still getting the hang of it but it can be quick to put on and I love the somewhat stretchy material. The reason for 4 stars is because the instructions say not twist anything, but how the straps came you have to twist them to fit them into the buckles (so it was put on backwards). If it was just one I would flip it but all 3 buckles came the opposite so you can’t buckle without twisting the straps. Other than that I love it so far.

    Very Cozy Baby Carrier

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 6, 2019

I tried a traditional newborn baby wrap and it was not the most convenient option. I could never wrap it securely fast enough for my crying baby and I always had to hold his head which did not allow me to have use of two hands which is the purpose of a baby carrier. I've recently purchased the embrace newborn carrier and I am very happy with it so far. My 11 week old is very cozy and eventually falls asleep and I am getting more things done around the house. I still have to hold his head on occasion but it is much more secure and comfortable than the wrap I was previously using. I would recommend parents of newborns/infants give this carrier a try.
