What customers are saying

The product is praised for its ergonomic design that helps alleviate wrist and hand pain, with many reporting reduced strain and discomfort. It is described as comfortable, precise, and easy to use, though some find it takes time to adjust. While more expensive, most feel it is worth the investment, especially for those with pre-existing hand or wrist issues. However, a few note the mouse may be too large or bulky for some users, and a small number experienced issues with battery life or premature failure.

    Good for wrist issues

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 26, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this fairly expensive mouse to help with one of my co-workers with her carpal tunnel issues. Setting up the mouse was fairly simple. I just plugged in the USB dongle and her windows machine auto installed the drivers. There is also software made by the manufacturer that you can easily download from their website, which gives you the ability to program the mouse buttons for different clicks and tasks. The physical design was nice and was much more comfortable than using a horizontal mouse. Mouse performance was unaffected by the design and pointing is precise. It definitely has a different feel than a traditional mouse, but my co-worker says her wrist issues are benefiting from the ergonomic design.

Works great - Prevents wrist problems

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 7, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a wired vertical mouse from evoluent for years until it finally died, so replaced it with the wireless laser vertical mouse. While it wasn't much of.a hassle to get the mouse wire hung up once in a while, it is much more convenient not to have a wired mouse. I use this on my work computer, so couldn't reconfigure which buttons I wanted to be the "right" button, so I had to accept the third button (at the bottom) as the "right button. Took a little while to get used to, since the old evoluent vertical mouse that I replaced, had the "right" button in the middle. All in all, an excellent mouse. Very smooth tracking. Once I started using the vertical mouse years ago, the wrist problems that t had disappeared.

Comfortable when you have wrist problems

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 21, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Way too costly for general use, if you have a wrist issue and your doctor or physical therapist recommend it, this vertical mouse is nice. It definitely takes some getting used to, and is still (after a month of solid use) is hard to 'drive' for detailed work (like drawings), but great for general mouse use. It would be nice if a major mouse vendor (hint Logitech!) would offer one in their line. Yet another wireless adapter taking up a USB port and more drivers on the computer make for more troubleshooting RF and software collisions.

The Evoluent wireless mouse is a must have item

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - December 2, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mouse is the best thing since sliced bread. I was having serious problems with my wrist and arm from being on the computer so much. After doing a fair amount of research I purchased one for the office and it solved all my problems. Once I had one at the office I had to get one for home as well. Trust and believe, you will not be disappointed one bit if you purchase an Evoluent mouse. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this item a 15!

Worth money - works on all OS laptops.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 16, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a non-bluetooth version of this most for 7 years when I first started feeling a wrist ache and early signs of carpel tunnel. When the wired version broke down and I decided to upgrade to a bluetooth version. I regularly use Windows, Chromebook and iOS and it works seamless on all 3 of my devices. Can't recommend enough - worth the money!

    Stopped having Wrist Pain

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 13, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My employer gave me Evolent Vertical Mouse after I started having wrist pain and I stopped having issues while at work. Unfortunately I was still suffering at home with a traditional mouse. After trying some cheaper alternatives I eventually purchased one for home. It took me about a week to get used to the vertical mouse but now I’m hooked.

    Wrist pain gone!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 8, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in an office and the mouse is like my hand almost. I had a standard flat type mouse and I was really getting cramps and spams in my wrist. I wanted to try and see how the ergonomic mouse will differ, and oh, differ it did! My wrist pain is %90 gone, I'm not saying it'll be gone fully, because you're still overworking your hand and wrist by even holding a mouse for hours but it is at least at a much more anatomically natural stance. On top, it has a lot of buttons where you can program for cut, copy, paste, refresh, calculator etc... And there's even another software, which is by a developer, that can give much deeper button configuration option. Only one down side is that the it's not super responsive to small movements, it might need more hand travel than you'd expect when working in a super detailed area, but for regular use, it's more than capable to satisfact majority of the people. Overall, it'll prevent me from getting carpal tunnel and I don't need to stretch my wrist every hour.

    Worth every penny!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 20, 2013

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great if you have pain from repetitive strain. I personally have fibromyalgia and TOS and was in extreme pain from over use and repetitive strain. I saw a big improvement in the first week, and the pain continues to decrease. I will never go back to a standard mouse again!

    Great health investment!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - October 17, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Totally love this product. I work a desk job and this vertically shaped mouse drastically reduced my wrist strain. It also comes with an extra side/floor piece that prevents your side pinky from rubbing against the table/pad and it really makes all the difference compared to other vertical mouse products out there. There are other features that this mouse has that I appreciate, such as the back/forward thumb buttons, which can come in handy if you work with lots of web pages. You can also adjust the speed of the cursor from the mouse itself (rather than going into the control panel settings every time you want to chage it). Best of all.. if you install the driver (free from the company website) you can customize all of buttons to your liking -- the driver is also needed if you want the bottom thumb button to have a function. I would highly recommend this item. Personally, it was a health investment that turned into something more. You really get what you pay for! PS. They also sell left-handed versions! :)
