This microwave seems different than the online picture. The sides angle at the bottom, which causes a view of the filters and light underneath. It is visually unappealing! The buttons are hard to push, you must be directly on top of the center (sounds easier than it is) it is not a touch screen! Also, if the microwave gets “too hot” on the inside - a fan will automatically come on and run until it gets good and ready to turn off!!! This is completely annoying! However, in the manual, it is described as NORMAL! So, you should be aware! The inside is a bit challenging to wipe down as the bottom is NOT flat. It had lots of indentations, so if you have a spill - get ready for some fun that won’t stop trying to get it all wiped up! Also, be careful as you use the handle, as the plastic around the handle seems sharp enough to cut you if you slide your hand down to find the handle. I can’t say enough about how I will NEVER but a microwave from the store on their website again! NEVER! I will from this moment forward open, close the door, push the buttons, stand in front to see if it looks weird (online picture is so wrong!)

This model's look has changed over the past 6 years. There is a visible bulge that hangs down from the bottom of the oven. The entire microwave one inch shorter in height. They made it ugly to make the box and the door smaller to save on materials. The door no longer opens and closes with a solid hinge. (It feels loose.) The power level is also lower. The instructions to install the microwave are defective for rear vent installation. They leave out the need to install the damper on the rear opening. I know this because it was previously required and other microwave models show this damper being installed.

When light hits the bottom panel of the microwave where all the controls are housed, it looks like a wrinkled mess. When the microwave is being used it's impossible to see inside due to the low level lighting.

I have owned this model for three years now. It works very well but the vent grill has completely fallen off. This is the large plastic piece that goes across the top of the microwave when you open the door. One of the plastic corner tabs cracked completely off and I was able to super glue it back on. Now that piece has fallen off again, as well as several other little plastic bits, including the corner of the control panel cover. At this point there is no way to super glue anything back together so I am left with the huge vent piece missing. Replacing the vent grill and the control board cover would cost me close to the same price as the whole microwave. Disappointed for the amount of money I spent on this microwave.

I really like the features and size of this microwave, but I purchased mine 2016 and the steam from cooking which I use my vent at all times because Chef Connect automatically turns on the fan when begin cooking. The label that controls the microwave started coming off and it sticks back on once I have finished cooking and had cooled down. The buttons stop working for a period of time. I unplug it, leave it off for a period of time and then it starts working again. GE should make this same size microwave and place the controls on the side so it lessen the risk of the control panel subjected to coming off. Model PVM9005EJ2ES. I would not recommend it unless GE has fixed this design flaw.

The microwave was easy to install. We had a Maytag that was installed in 2002 and I was no longer heating our food. The inaugural meal was cooked to perfection! The sleek clean lines of the microwave make it a great piece for any kitchen.

Wow ... just WOW! ❤️ This microwave. It looks so cool and it’s BIG! I am SO in love with this new appliance! Must admit I haven’t used all the features yet, but we’ve only been dating for about a week!
