    Cheap plastic manufacturer/top part of microwave

    The top part of the microwave just basically broke off and fell. It’s made of very very cheap plastic. There’s no way to really reattach it without getting the entire upper piece replaced. Otherwise it’s a good microwave, but they cheaped out and made a garbage product.

    Stay Away From This Unit

    I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this unit last year. Purchased it to replace our old GE profile which died after 15 years of continuous use and I absolutely loved it. Thought I was purchasing the same unit! Sadly, this on is not nearly half the unit my old one was. I hade 2 racks in my old one so could bake 6 round cakes at a time. The single rack sucks! The control panel is a total nightmare! I have had to put glow in the dark stickers on my most used buttons so I don't have to turn on the overhead lights just to heat up my drink! Crazy, expected better from GE.

    Control Panel Programing

    Very disappointed with the control panel features. VERY BASIC programing for a "Profile" model, you need to refer to the instruction manual for the menu selections. You can't even program in the low light setting for a night light to turn off. Overall the microwave and convection have been good. Previously had a GE Profile microwave oven and it had fantastic program features, without having to refer to the instruction manual. With todays technology there is no excuse for poor control panel programming.

    Difficult to clean

    This is our second GE over the range convection micro-wave oven. The other was easily wiped out and grease spots never built up. This oven is barely a year old and the "quilted" looking lining at the back is covered in small grease spots that I cannot get off and the "plastic" circle & square are discoloured and again impossible to remove stain marks. I am very conscientious about cleaning after every use . Only 2 adults in the home

    Keypad

    Had we known that the keypad does NOT light up we would not have purchased the unit. I sincerely hope that GE is working on a replacement backlit keypad for this unit. There is no pause button as well, two things that makes me not recommend this product to consumers until those issues get resolved. Our old GE lasted 15 years and was great, this was a disappointing upgrade for us

    Nice looking unit, BUT the control panel sucks!!

    We bought a package of four (4) major GE appliances for our new condo, fridge, range, dishwasher & microwave last month and just received the shipment this week. Pleased with the appearances of all the units, BUT the digital control panel is so hard to read without being 'back-lit'. I believe GE owes us a a replacement to resolve this issue. Pretty lame for a "Profile" model!!

    There has to be better

    This product came with the brand new house we bought, should have known the builder would put lower priced, lower quality appliances in the house. It lasted 5 years but no warning at all it just quit and blew the breaker. Likely would not buy another.

    Trouble with Vent hood

    The vent hood just fell off. The plastic tabs broke off. I purchased a replacement and the hood fell off again . AIs there any fix for this?.

    Keypad doesn’t light up

    You can’t read the keypad without either a flashlight from your phone or full kitchen lights on. I would not have bought if I’d know.
