- Good, but should mount to dashboard.- July 26, 2021
Sticks really well to a windshield and seems to be secure. Doesn't seem to work with mounting to a dashboard. Would like to be able to mount to a dashboard. Since it only mounts well to a windshield the GoPro has to be mounted upside down or sideways which makes it a little inconvenient to manage controls, but the view screen will show right side up no matter how it's mounted. Until I found the GoPro Player on the GoPro website it was only playing upside down on Quicktime or VLC Media Player. With the GoPro Player it plays right side up no matter how the GoPro is mounted. With the ability to mount on a dashboard would make the mount much more usable.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Wish I had purchased this long ago.- September 29, 2018
I previously purchased several other brands of suction cups for my Go Pro cameras. They didn’t work very well - lost suction and showed vibration in video. I finally spent the extra couple of bucks for the Go Pro brand. The suction cup is larger than the others, holds incredibly well (65 mph on the hood of a car - for more than 2 straight hours - yes, I tethered the camera just in case the suction cup popped loose. It never happened.) The video is stable with no vibration. I wish I had purchased the Go Pro suction cup a long time ago. Don’t waste your time and money on the cheap imitations. This is one product that works and is well worth the extra few dollars.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Stronger than I was expecting!- January 7, 2020
I got my first go pro ever last year and I’ve been pretty cautious with it lol. I finally decided to grab this suction cup and use it on my vehicle. I still haven’t tested anything above 50 mph but it claims to withstand speeds of 150 mph+. I mounted it to my car door just behind front wheel and hit the road. I’d say the top speed I hit with it was maybe 48 mph. I think I trust it enough to eventually take it for a spin on the highway and go for 70mph. If you follow instructions properly when mounting, the grip is so strong that it doesn’t even wiggle with a hard tug. It comes with a couple mounting brackets and an adjustable arm. I think it’s well worth the money.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Fell off my Motorcycle in Minutes- August 24, 2018
I bought this because I wanted something I could attach to my motorcycle and record without it moving. The packaging and advertising states it's rated up to 150 miles an hour. After mounting, I gave it a few good tugs with all of my body weight and, assured it was secure, went on a low speed ride in the city. I don't think I even exceeded 40 miles per hour, but about eight minutes into my ride the suction cup with the camera fell off the bike! Luckily it was earlier in the morning and I was able to retrieve the camera before it could be run over by a car. This thing was a waste of money. Don't bother with it.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Don't waste money on after markets suction cups- May 22, 2016
This is an awesome suction cup, I've purchased off brand/aftermarket suction cups before and the vibrations are really noticeable in my videos Since I price matched it with Amazon the price was dropped, no vibrations noticed in my video. Pay the extra and get the real deal! I even mounted it on the side of my car(outside of the car) drove over 70mph on the freeway(with a leash of course) and it stayed on with no problem. Just make sure the area is clean and mounted as described in the instruction book. With the different mount options that came with the suction cup making it really low profile is easy and less than 30 seconds. Must have if you own a gopro, top 5 gopro must have.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
