[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install lock. Fit well in my existing door mounting hole. I kept getting errors on the lock function because my latch hole was not deep enough. Required me to purchase a wood auger to drill out the wood to the required depth. After that locks and unlocks with the app. Love the google integration. Hey google is the front door locked or hey google lock the front door is great. Also love being able to lock or unlock the door from the app. Bundled with the required nest connect. Keyless lock is great for us but might be a problem in situations where it is the only access to the home.

After setup, if the Next x Yale is removed from the Nest app, the Yale can still be locked from the outside, but cannot be unlocked from the outside. 2. Anyone with a drill can reset the Yale and unlock it within 5 minutes.  Product Suggestions: 1. If access codes are not working, then the Nest x Yale should have a safeguard preventing it from being locked from the outside.  2. It should be impossible for drilling to reset the Nest x Yale to factory settings.  Sept 1, 2019 - I purchased and installed the Nest x Yale lock on my front door. - I downloaded the Nest app, and added the Nest Connect and Yale lock.  - I programmed access codes for each family member.  - It was pleasantly simple to set up and everything was working perfectly.  Sept 2, 2019 - Yale was “offline” in the Nest app.  - Our access codes still worked.  - I confirmed Wifi was working properly. - I tried moving the Connect, resetting Connect to factory settings, removing and re-adding Connect and Yale to the Nest app. I did not reset the Yale to factory settings. - The Next Connect and Yale would no longer add to my Nest app. - Short version of the story… We locked the door from the outside using the button at the top of the Yale keypad. - When we tried to unlock the door, the Yale remembered our access codes but they would not work, announcing, “this code is not working right now.” - Entering random access codes produced an error sound, not the same announcement.  - Nest customer service could not access the Yale since it had been removed from my Nest home in the app. They recommended calling a locksmith and said they would reimburse me for the cost of the lock and for $250 worth of the locksmith’s charges. It was Labor Day. The locksmith’s charge was $424. - Within 5 minutes of drilling the Yale announced that it reset to factory settings and let me enter a new master code to unlock the door.  The locksmith recommended Schlage brand locks. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just get this already! What are you waiting for? This lock will give you such a peace of mind. The installation is super easy. You are provided with instructions on how to set up the app, videos to walk you through the installation of the physical unit, and tools to get the job done. Long gone are the old days where you leave your key under the mat. Who has time for that anymore? Nobody wants to walk around with a bunch of keys. This will save you so much time. I love how it also allows you to provide unique codes for your guests. You can choose when they expire or give them a permanent one. Even if your power goes out for whatever reason this lock is battery operated, so you won’t have to worry about not being able to get into your house. Give this lock a try you won’t regret it. Trust me when I say this is a winner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several smart connected devices at home and thought this smart lock would be nice to try. Overall, Nest as its well known they build high quality products and truley smart!!. Before you jump into setup watch Nest setup videos on Youtube and also ready the manual provided in the package for better and no mistakes. Mine was installed without needing to drill or make any modification to my door and was simle and took about 15 minutes to finish it, setting on smart device though Nest app is simple and piece of cake. My final words are this door lock is funcitional and smart and easy to use. No voice control as of yet and make sure to read the manual and watch Nest videos on Youtube.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently built a new home and the one thing that was missing was easy access for friends, family and ourselves. It is easy to set up a password for friends and family and when they use it you get notified that "________ has used their password" which is super nice. It allowed a friend to stay over but arrive early in the morning. One feature we did not realize we would use is the Privacy Mode. When you know that no one is going to be using the door you can turn it on and the numbers do not show, giving you additional piece of mind that unwanted guest cant just guess a pass-code. We also have the nest security system and they work well together. I look forward for additional google intergration.

….the battery life is nowhere near what they suggest. Especially if you have a busy front door (kids in and out, traffic, etc.) but you can make adjustments to decrease battery wear. My biggest single complaint is the move to Google Home app for the access platform. Compared to the Nest app (which I loved) it is like returning to a DOS prompt. Simply too cumbersome and not intuitive. Come on Google you can do better than this. Bought the wireless indoor/outdoor camera as well. Love the look and lack of wires but same complaint - battery life in two days is noticeably draining and the Google Home app is NOT designed for security camera usage. Hope that improvements for both are on the way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock was fairly easy to install (had to watch a video on it to get help). The instructions are somewhat lacking. Excellent quality. My door hole wasn't put in exactly right and I needed to file down one side of the hole so everything lined up (a fault of my contractor). Once installed the set up went flawlessly and was easy to get working including installing and setting up the app. I really like this lock. It works great and looks great. Best purchase I've made in a long time. The best thing is the automatic locking in case we forget to lock the door.
