What customers are saying

The HP 63 tri-color ink cartridge is generally well-received for its quality and performance, producing vibrant, clear colors and working reliably in HP printers. However, some users report the ink runs out quickly, especially for high-volume printing, and the overall cost is higher compared to third-party alternatives. A few customers also experienced issues with the cartridge not being recognized by their printer. For general home and office printing needs, the cartridge provides good value and quality, but frequent users may want to consider the higher capacity XL version.

    HP #63 colored & B&W

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Badly needed for my printer HP Envy 4520. I have been using the ink for five (5) years and did not fail me.

    It Works

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 18, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] *Before using, make sure this ink is right for your HP Printer. Many model numbers are listed on the box, but always check with HP to be certain. As everyone knows, this is a racket. You need it if you print, but this is obviously where the printer manufacturer makes their money. I could basically buy a new printer instead of just buying cartridges and would probably only be out an extra $20. But having said that, I like the Hp system more than similar print companies. I like the colors of Hp ink and I like that these HP printers are easy to keep clean. In my experience, maintenance is much easier than epson products.

    Ink that cavemen would envy

    Reviewed by - April 17, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Imagine living 10,000 years ago, walking the forests of the North American continent, searching for shelter or food. In the distance you see a herd of mammoth, woolly hair, long tusks, and you think to yourself I wish I had a way to document this for others to see. You find some red clay in the nearest riverbed, taking it back with you to your cave and start finger painting. But what if you had HP 63 Tri-color Ink? If you did, you'd be able to have created a painting on your PC and printed it out for your own tribe to see in rich detail, shocking the shaman with the drying time and color properties. You would become their leader, for HP 63 Tri-color ink does the job no other original ink cartridge can do!

    Excellent, as usual!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 1, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a new HP printer after our HP printer finally died after 12 years of faithful service. We adore the new one and the new cartridges (#63's), as they are almost the same as the old ones (#61's). NOTE: We think the reason the old one died is because we bought generic cartridges to save money. I guess the old expression is true, "You get what you pay for"! Never again will we purchase a generic, but we learned to only purchase OEM HP cartridges. The good thing that came out of this experience was the new printer, as now it prints with absolute beauty, and to bout, by wireless!, has the fax ability. is so so quiet. and is such an improvement in every way to our old trusty HP, which we once again LOVED so very much!

    Keep spares

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 17, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually got several of these. I use them in my machine and so does my wife use them in hers. The problem is that they don't last well when in the machine. I don't use the printer all that much. Most of what I do I can do with my monitors and esignatures. I have a home office and do a LOT of work from there. Even so, the ink cartridges become non functional in just a few months. So I have learned to keep extras in my cabinet. Not just for me but also for my wife. When purchasing a new printer I will also review how long the cartridges will last.

Strick with HP products and you will be fine.

I am very satisfied with my HP Office Jet 3830 and the # 63 cartridges give me clear, crisp images. The printer was easy to clear the very rare paper jams I had and it's nice to get the warnings that I'm low on ink. I also like the combination cartridge packages that save me money. I tried in the past to have cartridges refilled , but they don't last as long or they're not accepted by the printer. I now only stick with new HP cartridges. I always order online and the deliveries are fast and often earlier than promised.
