All IceTrek Heated Snow Melting Mats require our GFCI power cord for operation. Only one GFCI is needed to power your snow melting system. However, if your system exceeds 14 amps, an additional GFCI will be required.

What's included:

  • 1x GFCI Power Unit

This appliance has a grounded three-prong plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, the power cord is connected to a power plug with leakage protection (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter - GFCI power unit). It will turn off the power in the event of a short circuit. Do not attempt to alter,

disassemble, or tamper with the safety plug in any way.

The GFCI power cord is 2 meters, 4 meters, 6 meters or 8 meters long; place the power cord outside the walkway area to avoid tripping.

The plug and GFCI should stay dry at ALL times.

Use the built-in TEST button to check your GFCI outlets at least once a month. Press the TEST button; you should hear an audible click, and the light should go off. If nothing happens, further investigation or replacement is needed. Press the RESET button to return the GFCI to its usable state.
