[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This freezer was delivered on Feb 9, 2021 and I installed it today after it was sitting a few weeks in the garage. Upon closer inspection, I found several problems #1 the plastic cover for the upper door hinge with on and off freezer light switch is cracked so the door won’t touch the switch to turn off the freezer light #2 the corner of one of the door shelves is broken rendering I t useless #3 the plastic water catchment container in the back of the freezer cracked, the water will leak if not replaced. I think the quality of the plastic pieces is not good I have warranty, these three parts should be replaced

We bought it for extra refrigerator space during the holidays and to use as a temporary freezer when we need to defrost the large freezer. We had a very old refrigerator in the garage that this is replacing. We will be turning it off until needed again. We have issues with the interior having flaws and deep scratches causing us to worry how it will hold up with further use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Purchase a insignia freezer/ Refrigerator and was disappointed in it. The next few days there was frost and ice buildup all over. Now it’s getting worse by the day with more ice buildup on the frozen food and ice tray. I am returning it and hopefully will get one that works the way it should.... Frost free!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Insignia 1.5 years ago. Installation perfect. Set at 10°. Freezes rock solid.Lighting great. Alarms if left open. LED lights are great. Illuminates all the time to show power is on. Garage ready to freezing temperature. Be careful as bottom shelf is glass. Like the drawer on the bottom. I use the rubber shelving material between all my frozen products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this freezer on July 27, 2024. It is now July 17 of 2025. This freezer did not even make it a year. I also bought the coverage I called in and they said they could not help me I would need to bring the freezer back to Best Buy. It's very heavy. This is worthless don't waste your time. The total of the freezer was $604.38 ridiculous waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we’re very pleased with the Insignia freezer. It works as described; we’re using it as a freezer. It’s larger in the inside than we thought, and we love having the drawer and sections on the door. You literally plug it in, wait half an hour...and your freezer is ready to go. Due to the pandemic, we’ve been stocking up on food and meals, and have made, vacuum-packed, and frozen meals for my daughter and her hubby, who just had a baby. So in addition to our back up stock, there are about 21 dinners stored in the freezer. I froze all the dinners flat, and then stacked them sideways in a file folder holder; worked great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5 is because of the cosmetic damage. I was stoked about buying a freezer, but it must’ve gotten damaged during transport. It was originally set to freezer mode (0 degrees Fahrenheit), and I turned it to refrigerator mode (41 degrees Fahrenheit). Settings seem to work great but this is only day 2 of having it. I’m hoping I can work with customer service and they’ll honor it, but I know how limited freezers are right now. P.s. I haven’t installed the door handle for I’m hoping they work with me as far as (possibly) getting a new unit shipped out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First ever upright freezer after having chest freezers for years. Upright freezer make finding what you want much easier. No more digging around to the bottom. Everything is right infant of you. This is also spot on with the temp. I put in two different thermometers, one on bottom and one on top, both are showing the set temp exactly. And it is also frost free. No more messy thawing and defrosting. With 13.8 Cu Ft., this freezer has tons of room for food, a spacious drawer at the bottom and lots of storage in the door as well. Easy to keep foods organized and within easy reach. This freezer is garage ready which is where it stands. It is an outstanding value for the price and we give it 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This freezer/fridge makes our lives so much easier as disabled veterans who needs to stay home. Plenty of room to store food inside longterm, so we don't have to out in the public as often to buy groceries. Yes, we would purchase again!
