Nice fridge except that the manual stipulates that it requires 4 INCHES OF CLEARANCE ON EACH SIDE which means that your fridge cutout must be 38 INCHES WIDE. They are absolutely serious about this because the sides get EXTREMELY HOT if you install it per the cute little video that BestBuy provides saying you need 1/8" on each side, which is extremely misleading. The beep when the door is opened also can't be turned off, as others have mentioned and the crisper drawers are fussy to reinstall after cleaning. On the plus side, BestBuy will exchange it within 30 days for a different model at no extra charge, collecting and delivering included.

I bought Amana fridge (more expensive than Insignia) and had to return it as it was too loud. I had to keep kitchen doors closed. Despite the hassle of returning etc. i ordered Insignia based on one review which stated that it is extremely quiet. And it is true, it is quiet. Besides that it is intelligent sleek design, light in the fridge and freezer is not to bright even in the dark kitchen. Bottom pull out freezer is much more convenient than swing door freezer. No gimmicks fridge, simple and most importantly for me it is quiet. I recommend it 100%. Best buy service was perfect with the return and new purchase.

A really great fridge that with a few changes could be perfect. Pros : Size is great / Came is white / Build quality seem good / Produce drawers don't break and have wheels on them! / No useless features like ice makers or built in water / No french doors / Great bottom freezer with lots of space. / Decent light inside the fridge. Cons : There is music EVERY time you open the fridge. Every time. It's impossible to turn off. Let me turn it off! / It doesn't get cold enough. There needs to be more levels of cold for the fridge. There is only 3. I want it a little colder. That isn't great. Freezer temp is perfect. / I think that's all? Almost the perf fridge - with those few major issues.

Have had this fridge about 2 weeks now - so far, so good. It is extremely quiet. I like the freezer on the bottom. It is a sleek design with no protruding handles. It has one small light on the top shelf, making the rest of the shelves a bit dark. There is no light in the freezer section. It plays a little tune when you open the door. I didn't realize it has electronics - the manual does caution you to unplug the fridge if there is going to be a power failure - very inconvenient to a) have to be home and b) to have to pull the fridge out to reach the plug to unplug it every time there is a storm. The Best Buy experience was top notch - scheduled the delivery date, confirmed the day before and narrowed the delivery down to within 3 hours. Would give 5 stars but waiting to see how the fridge performs after a longer amount of time.

Very happy with this fridge bought Feb. 20/20. It’s very quiet with very bright lighting. Holds a lot of fridge and freezer items. There is no handle outside of fridge door and opens from the top of the door so it’s just a matter of getting used to the change. No complaints about this though. Would recommend this fridge and the price point was very good for a bottom freezer.

I've had this fridge for 6 months and originally left a very positive review saying I loved it. Last week, however the fridge stopped cooling. I spent 4.5 hours on the phone last week trying to get a product repair under warranty. It was painful. Finally, someone came today and apparently the freezer was unable to defrost, preventing the cool air to circulate to the fridge. I lost all the contents of my freezer because it needs to be turned off to defrost and I had to buy a mini fridge to get me through until it can be repaired, which could be weeks. I would advise to steer clear of this fridge, but if you do get it, pay for Geek Squad support. I didn't and it was difficult getting help with only the regular 1 year warranty.

It seems that there is no option to turn off the annoying chime that turns on each time someone opens the fridge. The alarm can be turned off when the door is left open for 3 minutes; however, the chime stays on no matter what. Open door, chime and light turn on. BTW UGLY bluish white LED light. Very hard on the eye. The sound of the chime annoys everyone in the household. There should be an option to turn it off, but there is none! Had I known it I would not have bought this!

Although our initial fridge delivered was faulty (there was a panel in the refrigerator compartment that appeared to have cardboard behind it, and the fridge was cooled only indirectly from the freezer below), the replacement works like a charm. I love the roomy door compartments for condiments, etc., and the two drawers in the freezer below, as well as the high visibility of the glass shelves. It is easy to operate, and simply plugs in. All the convenience we want! One of a few fridges with a bottom freezer that fits our space, too.

Received the fridge 2 days ago and everything is working great. In the reviews of this item, there was mention of an annoying chime every time you open the fridge. I don’t find it annoying and I suspect that if the door alarm is disabled (after 3 mins an alert sounds if the door is still open) that the chime will be turned off, but I haven’t tested the theory. Delivery was great. So far, I’m really happy with the purchase.

Received the fridge yesterday in good condition. Fits my needs well and looks great. So far it’s working well and I like the space in both the refrigerator part and the freezer. My only complaint was not being told ahead of time that I could not have the door reversed , so consequently I had to hire someone to do this for me. Also could not track it nor could anyone I spoke to or chatted with tell me.it felt like a bit of a run-around.
