- Perfect Extended USB-C cable for PS5- June 7, 2021
I can’t speak on this cables abilities as a VR Headset Cable, but I can vouch for its usage as an alternative charging cable for a PS5. Before using this cable I used an USB extension cable which that couldn’t properly charge my DuelSense while in use. Also the 90 degree angle meant to run along side the headset has the benefit of directing the cable downward along system. Personally I like the overall look it gives the system when compared to a regular cable. Only negative thing I can think of is the 1.4 inch shroud that sticks out of the controller when in use. That said it’s length & data speed more than makes up for that. Also it has a sturdy feeling, as it’s build quality was meat for use with VR.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Works but connector is very tight- May 21, 2021
I wanted to like this cable, but can't. The build quality seems reasonable, but is heavier than the official Link cable (which I also have). The performance is basically the same as the Link Cable. The fatal flaw of this cable, at least for the one that I got, is that the dimensions on the Type C connector seem slightly off, and it is very hard to plug in. This is true for both the Q2 side and computer side, across multiple Type C ports (My computer has 3, including the one on my 2080). It's tight enough that I worry about bending something and ruining the port. Because of this, I am not using the cable. I misplaced the receipt or else I would return it. If the cable you get doesn't have the connector issue that I had, then this is a worthy alternative to the official Link cable. But with the connectors, I have to pass. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

- Terrible image quality and connection issues- April 4, 2021
I bought this to try Oculus Link with my new Oculus Quest 2 using my PC (i7 8700 + RTX 2080Ti). I was very disappointed with the results. I had trouble getting the connection to work in oculus. It kept telling me the PC wasn't connected. Usually restarting the software fixed it. Then once I did manage to get connected, the image quality is simply awful. Tons of streaming artifacts. It looks like you're looking at youtube video from 2006 on a 4k TV. It looks way worse than Virtual Desktop streaming via my router and that has the benefit of being wireless. I'm not sure if the official link cable would perform better, but wireless is kind of the whole point of the Quest 2, and Virtual Desktop is so good now that for most games I would recommend that. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
