Works
- July 25, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a surge protector for my new induction plate and air fryer. I get power surges all the time at my house. This works perfectly and also allows me to power off the two units with the flick of a switch.

New and improved surge protector!
- November 18, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wondered if there was any real difference with surge protectors. I'm sure specs vary, but this Insignia has 2 features that I really appreciate. First, its cord is a decent length, but it doesn't kink up like some surge protectors do. Nothing is more annoying than putting one down and having it flip on its side because the cord flips it. This one doesn't do that like some that I have. Second, it has a soft green light. I like the light because it reminds me when it is on without being too bright at night like the red lights are. I plan on gradually replacing my older surge protectors with these ones.

Does just fine for the price on everyday gadgets
- January 16, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just needed multi-outlets because of only one wall outlet. For that purpose this is just fine. Second, should there be a load on the outlet, such as maybe the few times I turn on three gadgets at the same time, I wanted a surge strip that would "pop" off before the circuit breaker "pop's which is all the way in basement. This may not be the way an electrician would do things, but this is for the few times I have the toaster and the blender on at the same time (which is usually fine, but not always,) this surge strip pops, can then be reset, and is a good warning to me to be more careful.

premium
- November 20, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this big surge protector to protect my expensive computer from my houses faulty electrical wiring. So far it's held up very nice, and the fact that it has a ground light, and a light to indicate that it is on is a HUGE plus. Especially if you are in the dark, or your room is dark. All of the plugs have protectors for dust and other things that could get into it, which is nice if you have cats that wander about. The plug that goes into the outlet is VERY small, which is nice if you have other plugs in the same outlet and it helps keep everything nice and tidy.

Excellent, low cost, efficient product
- November 22, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is BB's store brand and one of the best I've ever owned. Has longer life than the expensive brands and is just as reliable. Don't waste your money on the others.

Bought for a trip, had to throw it in trash
- May 24, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it one time before a trip and it was fine. Then I used it during travel, and it kept blowing the local circuit breaker, even though there was nothing plugged in to this power strip. I say 'kept' blowing the breaker because I couldn't believe an empty power strip would do this so kept trying about 4 times. Fortunately I had also brought some different model strips that worked fine, but this one had to go straight to the trash. (I would have returned it but there were no best buys where I was traveling.)

6-Outlet Surge Protector
- July 28, 2017[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this particular surge protector because of the high ratings as well as the reasonable price. Compared to other similar products, this surge protector was perfect for connecting my living room devices (i.e. TV, cable box, wifi modem and an AC adapter for my cable booster). I really like that there are 6 outlets which are spaced far enough apart that i was easily able to plug in all of my devices with little difficulty. Would absolutely recommend this Insignia Surge Protector.

Does what I want it to do.
- February 10, 2018[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a power strip to use with my laptop and its accessories, but it had to be one with a more flexible power cord. (Too stiff a cord is hard to connect and makes the power strip harder to use, too.) This power strip is just what I had in mind. The cord is flexible enough to use easily, and the 6 outlets are enough for my laptop and accessories. I wasn't specifically looking for a surge protector, but having a power strip with surge protection is a plus.

Fine, but nothing special
- April 1, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to get a new power strip after we suspect a power surge blew our last TV. This one did the trick----it was really well priced, and it works. However, I've seen other power strips that have guarantees / warranties attached to them. They're a bit more expensive, but if the power strip's "power surge protection" doesn't work, and your electronics are ruined, they'll replace the for you. Given my experience, I wish I had looked into this further.
