WHY DO I NEED CHARGING HOLSTER DOCK AND CABLE HOLDER?
Many EV charging stations do not come with a J1772 inlet to hold the charging plug, and as a result, the cable is often left to wrap around the station. This has led to complaints from EV owners who have experienced damage to their charging plug due to it falling out. In response to this issue, we have developed a SAE J1772 charging holster dock and cable holder to prevent any damage to the charging station plug and cable.
After researching and evaluating existing products in the market, we aimed to improve the design and material of our cable holder so that our customers can enjoy its advantages. Many cable holders in the market are made of thin metal without any curved edges, leading to damage to the charging cable over time. Some holders also lack complete coverage of the J1772 dock, leaving the charger plug exposed to the elements during outdoor usage. Additionally, many holders do not provide enough space for holding the charger cable and minimize the use of screws, causing the product to become loose after several uses.
To address these issues, we improved our cable holder by using 3mm thick metal, which is sufficiently thick for all edges to be curved and eliminates any sharp points that could damage the charging station cables. We also covered all sides of the cable holder to protect the J1772 dock from heavy rain and eliminate the chance of hazard. Additionally, we added a screw in addition to the dummy socket's screws (Dock's screws) to ensure that the cable will not loosen over time.

The SAE J1772 cable holder is made from 3mm thick metal which enables all edges to be smoothly curved, eliminating sharp points that could damage the charging station cables.
