No matter where the road takes you, a refreshing drink and healthy snack will be within an arm's reach.
Thermoelectric cooling technology
Koolatron coolers use solid state thermoelectric technology to cool without any ice. The thermoelectric module is the size of a matchbook and uses less power than a vehicle’s tail light. This travel cooler can cool contents up to 40°F (22°C) below the surrounding temperature. This cooler can also be switched to Warming mode to warm contents up to 135°F (57°C). Warming mode is ideal for transporting warm take-out food or drinks, warming baby bottles or transporting a casserole for your next pot luck event. You can also use the optional Koolatron AC Adapter (sold separately) to plug this cooler into any 110V AC household outlet.
Ideal portable cooler for road trips
Koolatron has proudly made thermoelectric travel coolers in North America for over 30 years. Our coolers and our thermoelectric technology have been put to the test by the US Military, medical labs and countless long distance truckers. Our 12 volt Koolatron portable car cooler has just one moving part, the fan motor, so there is virtually no maintenance. The thermoelectric module is a solid state heat pump, which is not affected by tilting or vibration. It can deliver cooling power of a 10 pound block of ice.
Best practices and quick tips for your next adventure
Before you head out on the open road, pack your Koolatron cooler with pre-chilled food and drinks. This will ensure your snacks are ice cold. Cooling warm or hot items can take several hours. When packing this thermoelectric cooler in your vehicle, ensure nothing is blocking the fan on your Koolatron travel cooler. This 12-volt cooler requires unobstructed air flow around the fan in order to ensure even air circulation and optimal cooling.
