- Plug and play out of the box- January 18, 2021
My 2-in-1 webcam broke so I needed a replacement that was not my phone. Fortunately, this device is very straightforward to use. I had no issues with video nor audio compatibility with Windows 10 Pro that other users have reported. When I plugged it in out of the box, the drivers installed automatically and everything worked well. Audio pick-up is great. The only thing is that I find the visible region of the video to be much smaller than the expensive webcams (i.e. small viewing angle / not a wide-angle lens by any means), but that's nothing to gripe about. It works either as a stand-alone on your table top, or placed on top of your monitor (my monitor is flat, fyi).Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Works well without a lot of Bells and Whistles- January 24, 2020
I needed a WebCam so I could take a ServiceNow certification exam from home since the dates and times available at the nearest testing centers did not meet my needs. The specs for the camera required that Auto focus be turned off and that manual focus be available. The Store sales person found a YouTube video that showed how to take the front cover off to give access to a focus ring so I could change the focus if needed. I am happy to say that I didn't need to touch a thing. The camera was not opened and the testing center was happy with image they received while I took the test. For the $30 I spent, I definitely got my money's worth.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Installation Issues- August 14, 2011
Generally, I am a huge fan of Logitech. They make good quality stuff. Unfortunately, the problem I had with this device is that it would not install properly on my windows 7, either from the included cd or from the downloaded software from the logitech site. The hangup was always when it tried to install the drivers, esp. for the mic. Of the two times I did get it to install, everything worked except the mic; it didn't recognized the mic and said no drivers were installed. It looks like from the other reviews that it worked fine, just not in my experience. And I like things working right the first time. Switching to a Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 today. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
