Two major problems after 53 weeks ownership. 1. The drain pump filter is inaccessible. I had to remove the top, the control panel, the front boot seal, and the front to get to the drain pump filter to remove two Shout sheets that were preventing the washer from draining. And you can’t get a pan under the filter to catch the water as you remove it. The fix I did wasn’t even mentioned in the Troubleshooting guide. I don’t want to think about what a repair company would have charged me. Poor design. 2. The front door rubber boot is deteriorating and has holes in it at the top. Poor quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, it does the job, seems to do a good job. I am not impressed with the longer cycle to clean, almost 3 hours for heavy soilded items? That's an hour longer than my old washer. Hate the holding down the power button for 3 seconds to start, I should be able to turn this off. Also the selection of cycles, I'd rather it was simple or I could save my favorite cycle-the one I always use, still learing this. And the lights that show up for cold-hot wather and low-high spin are small/harder to read. I'm hoping I will learn to run where I like it and most importantly it will run and last. Dependability is why I purchased this washer.

Less than a year old this machine is eating my clothing. Cotton, cotton linen blends, even on gentle cycle. A technician came to my home, ran a "test" and told me the machine is fine. Fine? How when he didn't run a cycle with clothing to SEE the damage being done to my clothing? So far this machine has damaged at least fifteen hundred dollars worth oc clothing. The tiny little holes being torn are consistent and indicative of the size of the drainage holes in the drum. I have been an ardent long time cheerleader for Maytag but after this experience I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again, nor will I recommend them to my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement washer as the first one I bought gave me problems from the time of purchase. From the time of the delivery, this second washer is already acting up. The fabric softener dispenser is full of water after each wash. I have already called Whirlpool requesting service. I am so disappointed with this Maytag model. I really wish I could have my money reimbursed so I could buy another brand name washer. I want to add that my dryer (it was a bundle purchase) had to have the motor and vent replaced. It’s been a horrible experience with the purchase of my washer and dryer.

When my ten year old washer broke,we replaced them with a top-loading washer from GE. It didn't do a good job and left residue on the clothes,so we returned it and got this washer and dryer instead. They are excellent. Should have got them from the beginning. The washer cleans so well and has plenty of options for the different things I wash. It is also plenty big enough to fit towels,bedding,and whatever else you need. The dryer is more of the same. It always does a great job and has lots of settings for the different types of clothes or items that we dry. Steam drying is a nice touch as it really keeps the wrinkles at bay.

It's handled all the special loads, delicate sweaters, bulky comforters, heavy rugs as well as the ordinary laundry. Has a convenient drawer to put detergent, bleach etc. It is the great washer at Maytag quality as it has a wide variety of programs that cover all my needs and are easy to adjust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After two months of use I discovered a piece of the rubber door seal had broken off causing water to leak from the door. Now after a month, I am still awaiting for the replacement part via the Maytag authorized dealer. In the meantime I am having to place towels at the leak point to mop up water when the machine is in use.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this washing machine roughly a month ago, and I am truly amazed at how clean my clothes are. They smell good, they are not soaked with water when they come out of the washer. The machine is not stinky inside. There is a consistency of clean. I love the extra power, the 16hr fresh hold I thought I wouldn't use, but when I did, I was blown away, because the next day the clothes smelt amazing! But I will say, there is nothing that I do not love about this washing machine. I love everything about this washing machine. I look forward to how the dryer will work when I purchase it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleans great so efficient absolutely love it. Even with quick wash soiled clothing come out clean and smelling great. The term they don't make them like they used to no longer applies this washer is like a vintage clean in a sleek new frame.
