Just what I needed for more devices!
- June 10, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally bought a Moca Adapter for my PS4 because I was sick of having to deal with Wi-Fi issues (laggy game play, videos buffering all the time and frequent loss of my Wi-Fi signal). So, the Moca Adaptor I purchased worked perfectly but it only had one ethernet port on it for my PS4. I wanted my laptop and Smart TV to be connected to the internet via ethernet cable and not Wi-Fi. So, I purchased this NG internet switch along with extra ethernet cable for each device. Now my PS4. Dell laptop and Sony Smart TV are connected to the internet with no Wi-Fi issues. Game Play, Streaming videos been stress free. Definitely pick one up.

Plug everything in and forget about it
- January 25, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy as pie. Plug in your cables anywhere, plug the switch into an outlet, and you are on your way. I cannot understand any of the negative reviews. This product does exactly what one would expect it to do, and the price is very reasonable. You can use crossover cables, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat6, or mix and match, and it works it all out. My connection passes through another Netgear switch (with many more ports) before connecting to my router, and I have numerous devices connected to my internet. But see my speeds in the attached photo. No complaints about this switch at all.

One switch, four devices.
- July 17, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works like a charm. All I needed was to connect this switch to the router, then I was able to connect for other devices (TV, PS4, Switch, sound bar, PC).

- January 23, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good easy to use router. Alowws you to hard wire devices with ethernet versus wifi connection on home wifi for a little better speed and reliability.

wired network expansion made easy.
- May 21, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked as expected and reduced the bottle neck on my home network nicely. Keep in mind that this works as a fanout of a home network router. So, I took the ethernet output port of my cable modem and placed it in one of the ports on this switch. I then placed the rest of my wired ports in the remaining ports of the switch. The cable modem's internal router handled the DHCP duties and managed the network both with in my wireless domain and this wired domain. it was real easy. No network experience required. Just connect one port to your modem/router and the rest to your PCs, printers, TVs or whatever you want to connect via a ethernet cable.

Great Product, Easy Solution
- August 26, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we switched to working from home after COVID hit we need more ethernet portals because our work devices required them to run effectively. We have the google nest system which we love but it only has the one outgoing ethernet port and so we decided on the NETGEAR switch. I looked a few other options but loved the simplicity of this one. It's unmanaged so set up was simple and easy, basically just plug and go. The size small so it does not take up much space at all. And best of all it works perfectly, as advertised, and now we have all the connection ports we need. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone considering it.

Works great
- December 26, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great and does exactly what it is supposed to. I wanted to have a wired connection to the devices in my loft instead of WiFi to get the fastest speeds possible. I only had a one line run directly so I bought this. Everything runs great, no lag, great picture. Setup is pretty much nonexistent because you just have to plug in the cables. It says 5 port but one of them is for the incoming internet signal so you really only get 4 connections for devices. I would probably buy a version where all of the connections and power cable are on the back next time. It would look cleaner. This one has the connections on two sides.

Exactly as expected
- August 26, 2022I had high expectations from my previous experiences with Netgear products, but this did nothing to tarnish that reputation. I plugged in the incoming feed from my fiber jack in my networking closet and can now connect my routers and other devices to my ethernet ports all around the house. The lights operate as described with left and right leds lighting when there is a connection and flashing for data transmission. I have gigabit internet and through my networking testing it appears to achieve the gigabit speeds that it claims. Overall, this is an excellent switch that I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for this type of networking appliance.

Plug and Relax!
- December 19, 2019[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS305), took a couple of minutes to setup and helped me to extend my router past it's physical limitations, by allowing me to be able to plug in up to 4 additional devices that use Ethernet cables. Your router continues to manage everything, so there was basically nothing i had to do. 1 minor issue: the box itself says nothing about a wall mounting kit being enclosed, but the instructions included does! Can't beat the price and i highly recommend it's purchase.

Fast, intuitive, rock solid and easy setup!
- November 14, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This NetGear 5-port switch replaced an older version of the same model. The existing one is 8-years old and still working but I wanted the newer administration and connectivity benefits of the v2 model. Install was a breeze using both the web interface and ProSafe plus utility. The switch is running fast and the console is showing a rock-solid 1000 mbps link to the other devices. Amazingly gaming performance has improved (didn't expect that). I just ordered two more for the rest of the house, and yes, those are also 8-years old and running perfectly but for a little money the LAN will be new again. Buy it, you won't be disappointed! NetGear keeps delivering awesome products!
