easily a top 10 for any Action/Adventure gamer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game instantly took to my top 10 video games of all time. Instantly took past Legend of Zelda Series, Past the Final Fantasy - and Landed somewhere shortly below Kingdom Hearts (which not many games pass). I have played now for 40 some hours and have barely gotten half way into the game, doing all the jobs and side quests. Now if you were a fan of Final Fantasy 12, you will LOVE this game. Most of the maps are open roam - its real time, there are no battle gauges...It isnt so much an RPG as it is an Action/Adventure game - but it falls closely between the two. Recommend to a FRIEND....YES I WILL!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is awesome. The previous reviewers stated that this is from Square-Enix, (thats true... but they only published the game). Cavia actually developed it. They did the Drakengard games. Anyway. This game sorta reminds me of those games minus the flying dragons. This game rocks. Hack & Slash all the way, Great magic, Awesome music, gory kills, the game goes from 3d to 2d. Really great game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great game. Of course it is good since it's made by the company that created the Final Fantasy games. The difference between Nier and Final Fantasy is this game plays in real-time. So you don't have to select your attack and wait. Graphics are amazing. Square Enix has yet to disappoint!

    So Square-Enix does have a "Dark" side...lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nier...i didn't know what to expect when in opened the game 3 days ago. Right from the opening movie, i was "shocked." All i heard was this potty mouthed lady talkin 2 something or someone. I never heard words like this come out of a Square-Enix title. Needless 2 say i was intrigued. Nier to me remindes me of an old Square title...Vagrant Story..(hope you guys have played that 1.) The combat, magic..(done by a talking book)...etc., are all done in real time. 1 issue i have with this is the camera can get you in trouble during combat...due to the lack of a lock on feature..(in my opinion.) You might end up gettin hit from your blindside a time or 2. The game also switches from the 3D open style to a traditional 2D side scrolling platformer, i think that's kinda cool. Another thing which adds 2 the "Dark"ness of the game is all the blood that spews from all the enemies. It's just something i never witnessed from a Square title...(i know, broken record right...lol.) The potty mouth girl i mentioned b4...is actually your partner. She travels the world with you helping you out in ballte...and she can hold her own. You dont have to worry about keeping her alive, because if she dies she revives herself after a while. I know i've said alot but bottom line...it's a great game. Fans of Vagrant Story will appreciate this 1...and so will the people that just love [Square-Enix] games like this.
