- Love it!- September 18, 2019
I originally got this for my Mom who has low vision and we put it by her chair. She loved it for reading, crocheting and watching TV. After she passed, I put the lamp by my office desk. It's great. And with the three settings, you can have as much light as you need. I especially like the way you can manipulate the light head to make it fit in any area in which you put it. The down side is that the on/off switch is hard to find for someone with low vision. Maybe put the on/off switch on the front edge of the light head and not have to push so hard to turn it on, switch light settings, and turn off.
- Brilliant light for my mother with impaired vision- October 9, 2016
I just assembled this light for use by my mother who is blind in one eye and has impaired vision in the other. She was so happy after trying it. This light allows her to see things more easily. Even with physical limitations, she can turn the light on and off. I found assembly easy. In other reviews, I noticed some folks had trouble installing the bulbs. I didn't, but also have experience with ottlite bulbs; just needed to apply a bit of pressure to lock the bulbs into place. I also like this lamp--options to use single or two-bulb lighting, the swivel head--I'm buying another for me to use!
- Flexible Neck Floor lamp 36W - Left side is Not Working- May 5, 2021
About four months ago I bought a flexible neck Ottlite 36W floor lamp with the two four-prong 18W 9301 bulbs. The left side bulb blew a couple of weeks ago. I replaced the bulb, having driven 20 miles to locate an in-stock one. The replacement bulb didn't work. Just before returning the replacement bulb today, I thought to try the still good bulb on the left side of the lamp. It did not come on. However, it works after returning it to its slot on the right side of the lamp. Any words of advice on the lamp? Problem appears to be the left side of the lamp.
- Need a lot of light - get this lamp- September 14, 2015
I bought this lamp to use for my auto detailing shop and man is this thing bright! It makes it much easier to see small imperfections in paint and it does a good job of lighting up the interior, even from a few feet away. I like that I don't have to use both bulbs all the time and can turn one off and just use it as a regular light in the shop too. It is a bit strange looking, but overall a good buy.
