[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've mounted these speakers on my newly built deck. They are excellent for the size deck I had built. The sound is rich and clear. I love them. I'm thinking about buying two more for an even bigger sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not usually a big fan of Polk speakers. In fact, I was a bit underwhelmed with a set of Polk in-wall/ceiling speakers I purchased at my last house. However, my opinion of these Atrium 4 outdoor speakers is nothing but positive: great sound quality; very efficient; and reasonable lower bass levels considering the speaker size. For this price range, I am quite pleased with the dynamic and transparent sound imaging. I was fortunate to find these on sale for $100, but I wouldn't complain if I paid the typical $200 retail. They are worth it. Easy to install, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used these speakers indoors and outdoors with no problem. I placed 4 of these speakers in a commercial kitchen, and the staff loves it. Also place 5 of these as surround sound speakers in a residence. Sounds great. The white speakers blended right into the ceiling. They are easy to install and aim. The other reviews that state they don't have enough power are confused. First of all these are not active speakers, they don't have an amp built in. Therefore the amount of "power" going through these speakers is related to the amount of power coming from your amplifier, not the speakers themselves. Now these are obviously not high end speakers, but they are much better then some of the packaged surround sound kits you can buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially went into BB to look at some yamaha's, and I didn't really like the sound of them. I saw the display of these polks, they were not connected, so I disconnected the yamaha's and connected the polks. I have to say I like them. I made the purchase, came home, installed them for backyard pleasure. It's exactly what I needed. The bass might be a little on the low side, but that can be fixed via bass adjustment. I would definitely recommend this product to fiends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After unsucessfully attempting to use wireless speakers outdoors, I purchased these Polk outdoor wired speakers to extend our satellite tv music to our pool/lanai area. They are powered by my Sony 100 watt receiver attached to "B" speaker connection which is sufficient power. The installation was simple after running the speaker cables through the attic. The metal mounts attach to the house with two screws each. The wires then connect to the speakers and they mount very easily to the metal mounts with two 3 inch thumb screws that hand tighten. This feature is very convenient living in Florida as the speakers can be removed easily if necessary prior to a hurricane. The sound quality is great even with the background noise of our pool/spa waterfall. You can also tilt the speakers in the mounting to optimize sound quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these speakers in May 2011 for my guest house. Mounted them outside under a covered screen porch. Rarely used the system. Used them over the weekend and one of the speakers is making a horrible, crackling sound. Tried disconnecting and re-connecting. The sound is worse on songs with heavy bass. Sounds like the speaker is blown. The sound is pretty good, but they aren't very powerful. Taking them back and most likely upgrading to something stronger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We mounted these on our patio which is covered. These speakers are a good value for the money. They're well built and have good sound. The bracket is easily adjusted and features large recessed knobs that allow the incremental adjustment of the bracket. Additionally there are grooves for each movement so once the bracket is set it's not moving. Speaker wire can be installed with or without banana clips. The speakers have a good range of highs and lows.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for Bose outdoor speakers and/but these where there for easy comparison.I was looking for reasonably good sound for music and outside sound for TV. Got lots more at reasonable dollars. Final proof will be how well they weather( heat humidity) mounted under roof ledge so no direct rain. Packaged literature didn't seem to offer much longevity data other than that they are designed for outdoor use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] overall, these speakers are great for the price. they lack a little bass, but overall sound very good. I compared them to the boston acoustic speakers as well as the bose outdoor speakers. I thought they sounded the best and I would still agree with that statement. these are cheaper than the Bose and the same price as the boston acoustic speakers. Good sound, good quality, & good looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Could use a little more base. Not as good as my Paradigm outdoor garage speakers but only a fraction of the price. I have thought about getting these for 2 summers now and finally did when they went on clearance. Couldn't be happier for the price point. Unless you are holding an outdoor concert these are plenty powerful and clear. Great backyard grilling/by the pool speakers.
