- Terrific speakers- September 27, 2013
I've mounted these speakers on my newly built deck. They are excellent for the size deck I had built. The sound is rich and clear. I love them. I'm thinking about buying two more for an even bigger sound.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I got the atrium 4's a couple weeks ago, they have amazing sound compatible to bose witch was great considering the price difference and I assure you I have already tested the durability of them... 2 days after mounting them on my back porch we had a severe thunderstorm that produced golf ball size hail! I personally watched these speakers take multiple hits from this hail, after the storm had passed I turned them on to see if they still worked and sure enough they sounded just fine and not even a scratch or dent! Great job polk! I would recommend these to anyone.
- Great sound for the price- October 4, 2013
I'm not usually a big fan of Polk speakers. In fact, I was a bit underwhelmed with a set of Polk in-wall/ceiling speakers I purchased at my last house. However, my opinion of these Atrium 4 outdoor speakers is nothing but positive: great sound quality; very efficient; and reasonable lower bass levels considering the speaker size. For this price range, I am quite pleased with the dynamic and transparent sound imaging. I was fortunate to find these on sale for $100, but I wouldn't complain if I paid the typical $200 retail. They are worth it. Easy to install, too.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I bought two pair of these to put below decks in our sailboat. I figured being outdoor speakers, they would work well and I would not have to worry about them while the boat was out of the water in the winter months. Installed them this past weekend and we are very happy with them. The boat's stereo system has Bluetooth so we could watch a movie on my laptop and play the audio over the stereo. The sound was incredible, much better than even our home theatre system. Speakers are compact and easily placed, which is a big plus with the limited room in a boat.
- Nice speakers- January 26, 2012
I have used these speakers indoors and outdoors with no problem. I placed 4 of these speakers in a commercial kitchen, and the staff loves it. Also place 5 of these as surround sound speakers in a residence. Sounds great. The white speakers blended right into the ceiling. They are easy to install and aim. The other reviews that state they don't have enough power are confused. First of all these are not active speakers, they don't have an amp built in. Therefore the amount of "power" going through these speakers is related to the amount of power coming from your amplifier, not the speakers themselves. Now these are obviously not high end speakers, but they are much better then some of the packaged surround sound kits you can buy.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
