What customers are saying

The game offers a solid Resident Evil experience with a good balance of action and survival horror elements. Gameplay, graphics, and story are well-received, though some reviewers felt it was not as strong as the mainline titles. The return of familiar characters was a positive, but the co-op mode received mixed reviews. The Raid mode was praised as a fun competitive experience.

Resident Evil back to what it was.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 16 janvier 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With Resident Evil 5 and 6 the series turned into a new direction but the Revelations series brings the series back to its survivor horror roots. The only complaints I would have was the change of voice actor for Claire Redfield a returning character from Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica who also appeared in the film Resident Evil Degeneration and every time she was played by the same actress this time around they opted out for a new voice actor who made it not feel like it was the same character but gameplay was great and really fun for any RE fan looking to get back into the series after it took its action route with 5 and 6.

    Resident Evil Revelations 2

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 11 avril 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked Resident Evil Revelations 2 for what it is and that's a lower budget Resident Evil game. For the price you're getting about a 6-8 hour single player campaign along with Raid mode which will keep you busy for weeks. The story was ok but I really like the mechanics of working with 2 characters. The enemy design is by far the weakest part of the game as there are a lot of repeat enemies. The graphics are also not that good along with an inconsistent frame rate. It's also not that scary but most Resident Evil games haven't been that scary for a while. Even with those problems it's still a fun game and worth playing.

umm a little help here fallen and can't get up..

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 13 février 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this game for the Co-op played it a bit and can say yes it is interesting and fun for two to sit in the same room and try to survive. it starts out not so hard but I guess that depends on the level of the player. when the hard part does happen it is really more of a puzzle that needs to be worked then something that is really hard to beat. I gave it a four rating because not so much that the people you get to play are not always even matched because that makes it so the players will need to work together, or with one player they will need to switch between the charters, but because the split screen seems to be an off set split and on smaller tv it seems to loose some viewing areas.

A good entry in the series

    Reviewed by - 6 juillet 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to check this game out since it ties into the main series and I must say, it is a good game so far. The story focuses on a few familiar characters and makes references here and there to past RE games so there might be some parts where you will want to go back and play the other games to be up to date on what's going on but nothing major you will be missing out on. Most main series RE games play their own story and will always be enjoyable with the amount of adrenaline from jumpy bosses as well as uncovering some truths as you progress with the characters.

Great game to play with a friend

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 21 février 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The game supports co-op but only with one system. You can't play online with a friend, which is a bummer but still a lot of fun to play. The game of course has a bit of stealth to it at times if you would like to, or go guns blazing which is awesome. While playing you will notice that you will always have 1 AI with you, but usually doesn't like to use a gun. at first your friend will only have a flashlight but can later get a melee weapon to help you take down zombies. Plus each characters can be upgraded with perks to increase damage, speed, etc

No the Best Co-Op; But Still an Option

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 7 février 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SO usually my partner and I play co-op games especially if it has to do with Resident Evil series. Sadly, not all are co-op friendly (unless networking). Needless to say, this one was different in terms of co-op since the 2nd player will be very limited to 2 characters and really no weapons. One girl uses a crow bar and that's it while the 2nd character which is a little girl only points at the zombies and can pick up a brick to hit them about 3times before brick breaks. So, if you are looking for all players to be able to shoot a gun or retrieve weapons; this may not be best for the 2nd person since they will be limited. Other than that, I finished this whole game, which was pretty challenging considering the lack of help from the other character.

    Excellent game!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 25 mars 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This resident evil game is a tribute to the old school resident evil games. Despite lacking the non-stop action and set pieces of the last 2 main resident evil games (5 and 6), this game is still such an amazingly fun and tense experience. Just like the old school resident evils, this game is a masterpiece survival horror game. It has thoughtful level and area designs that require strategic puzzle solving and traversal. The game has an excellent sense of resource economy. The zombies and other enemies are so scary and just like all resident evil games, ready to surprise and terrify you when you least expect it. Again, if you were longing to play a classic style resident evil game, then this is it. If not, you will still enjoy playing this great game.

The original RE fans will be pleased.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 22 mars 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a Resident Evil fan I was very pleased with the story line of the game. RE fans will be happy with the story line and the a great combination of all the recent game mechanics to make this feel new and different. The new tag team systems is fun to use where you switch characters during gameplay and have to solve puzzles with. The original characters from the series in the past still have some of their iconic items they use and graphics are up to par. I love how Playstation 4 still uses it's unique controller to relate to the game play! If your life is on danger the LED on the controller turns RED! When your at full health it stays GREEN and yes the speaker on the controller isn't used at much in the game BUT they still use it a little bit. HAVE FUN!

    True to Resident Evil Series

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 3 décembre 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Resident Evil fanciness has derailed from its survival horror roots for years so I wasn't expecting much with this RE spin off. However, I was really surprised that RVEL 2 actually manage to bring back the horror element from the original series and I really enjoy this game. This is not the typical third person shooter with lots of resources. If you like the survival horror atmosphere from the original RE game, then you should definitely try this out. Its also on sale for $19 with all the episode.

    Fun but not my style

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 14 mai 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two player mode is nice (few ps4 games are without using network play), but while game has some nice features, but I find the character movement awkward and somewhat clunky. The graphics while nice are nothing that stand out as wow-me amazing. The lack of any "jump" ability for charcters is weird at best and stands out as making the game feel old (possibly keeping true to older originals?) and flat, making it difficult to really sink into playing. Somewhat fun to play but not my favorite title by far.
