Retractable cords and ease of travel for this cord set were a great feature. Worked great and then failed in the middle of use. I was typing on the keyboard while my laptop was when I got a notification from my laptop that the cord had been disconnected EXCEPT it had not been disconnected. Each connection was still securely connected at each point. I checked them repeatedly and have disconnected and reconnected several times. The Adaptor brick appears to be getting power (it is lit) but the cord between the brick and the interchangeable end or the interchangeable end must have failed. Resulting in an expensive hunk of landscape decoration.

Much like the other reviews of this product, the charger stopped working after only 3 months of use. After reaching out to RealTek several times, I have been unable to have them replace the product despite the "3 year warranty". I am also very disappointed that I did not check the customer reviews for this product prior to purchase since I based my purchase solely off of a recommendation from a Best Buy employee. I do NOT recommend.

Bought this as I was recommended the product by a Best Buy rep after I damaged the charger to my older Asus model laptop. I could tell the cable was weak at best and wouldn’t stand up to flexing or bending, so I was always very conscious of being careful with it. It worked fine for about four months, but despite being careful the wire is damaged at the connection port and is starting to spark. Not something that is fixable so the whole thing is useless now. The retractable cord is just pointless. It adds more weight to the already fragile cord and saves no space. Wish I’d seen reviews before purchasing. I can’t understand why this product is always recommended by Best Buy employees.

It'll get the job done for you; so long as you dont move around with it too much. If you're constantly taking them out and putting them away their lifespan is pretty short. Mine last about 8-10 months per; which isnt bad for a RETRACTIBLE charger. MY best advice to give is to avoid pulling on the chord whenever you're unplugging it and always fully disconnect the charger into it's three segments when traveling with it. (They can last as little as 2 months if you travel with them connected) Overall 3 stars becuase they work well, but fall victim to a short lifespan.

I wanted to leave a review on the actual site but they didn’t have an option for that I bought this charger in January of this year. It’s now April and it has already stopped working. The company also claims a 3 year warranty in the packaging, so I tried contacting customer service twice and I still haven’t received a response. Do not buy.

Worked great but is so flimsy it broke within 3 months of buying it. Extremely overpriced but will work short-term if you’re in a fix.

If you are in urgent need of a laptop charger this will work for you but once your computer is back working it would be best to go and buy a good charger and not rely on this one. The cord is cheap and after continuous use it starts to strip and bend. I purchased this product after I lost my original charger and needed a charger ASAP for work, I thought it was decent so I continued to use it but I am not here 6 months later and the charger has given out on me. It no longer works at all. I’m not very man because it was a cheap and good solution to my charger need but it is important to know if you are getting this it will fail and it would be in your best interest to get a good charger as soon as possible.

I needed something to charge my ASUS laptop in a pinch and this charger sufficiently suited my needs. The charger tip for my laptop is a little loose in charger jack which is a bit of a concern but as long as my laptop isn’t constantly on the move it won’t doesn’t cause damage or inconsistency with charging

This charger is incredibly delicate. I bought one 10 months ago and it broke down in a few months; as other reviewers have mentioned, regular use wears down the plug connecting your laptop to the AC adapter. You can try to be gentle with it but that’s just delaying the inevitable. I’ve had other chargers that have lasted years; save your money and buy a different product. Particularly annoying since the other cord connecting the adapter to the outlet has a thickened cord around the plugs to avoid this problem; a simple design change would greatly improve this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought in a whim while at the checkout. Actually well made, with a strong selection of adapters. Well made, retractors and cord. Bent my connector after two weeks, my bad, not the device. Noticed I wasn't charging and thought great, it broke already. No, just bent the pin inside being careless. Straightened inner pun with a paper clip and it works. HP and some other computer companies surprise me on the lack of durability of connector designs. Let's put a tiny pin inside and see if you cannot bend it! Yeah!!!! New charger needed!!!! This one performs well and I would buy again. Huge selection of computer options, perfect for the IT guy who always gets the question. I left my charger at home, do you have an extra?!!! Yea, in my back pocket!!!!!
