[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing product. It is not a smoke / CO sensor, it's a listener. This means that you do not have to remove your installed sensor unit. You install close to your smoke sensor, activate the sensor alarm on the installed unit, and the Listener programs the sound and alerts you of the alarm activation. Beautiful!!! It doesn't get any easier!!!

I was able to install the Listener but when testing it it never worked. I read the manual and Ring pathetically tried to say that the smoke detector may be too old. I just moved I to a newly built house with new alarm systems. When trying to connect with Ring for technical support there is none for new installs and device troubleshooting. Save your money and don’t buy Ring Smoke/CO2 listener. Their other products seem to work but keep in mind there currently no tech support for installs because of COVID19 so you may want to seek another alarm system if you don’t already have Ring already

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is installed next to a wired Smoke/Fire/CO detector. When tested it easily recognized the two distinct sounds emitted from the CO/smoke detector and these sound discriminations were clearly showed in the Ring app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are effective, small, and easy(ish) to install. I learned that installing anything on the ceiling isn't all that easy due to the angle/height. However, these are small, and since all my smoke detectors are wired together, I only need on unit to listen to the whole house. The one downside that I have found is that they don't have a way to turn it off or bypass it for 5 mins to change your smoke alarm backup battery. You have to take the battery out. Also, I suggest you call Ring and tell them you are re-setting or testing your smoke alarm, or else you may end up with a visit from your local fire station, which is what happened to me. Since they listen for CO and smoke, once a CO alarm is sent, there is no way to recall/stop it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first attempted to get a First Alert 'works with ring' smoke/CO alarm to connect and stay connected to my Ring home alarm without success. So I returned that and bought this instead. Since I already had smoke alarms and CO alarms, it made more sense anyway rather than replacing one of my existing alarms. So far so good! It connected easily and tested out fine. Fortunately I haven't needed to rely on it yet, but knowing that my home can send a fire alarm signal to the fire department when I'm not at home puts me at ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it to integrate with my existing Ring device ecosystem. Had to change the battery once per year, but otherwise was quite seamless to add to my existing Ring setup. With total monitoring, it sure will ease your mind especially when you are not at home knowing that the listener will alert in the event of possible smoke. Also integration with Alexa is added bonus as Alexa will listen to notification and also pass on alerts if required.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. This device just listens for your existing smoke alarms to go off and then it triggers. The only issue is with RING and not specifically with this device. RING does not allow one to disable this device. So if you got something burning on the stove and you know its going to set off the smoke alarm there is nothing you can do to prevent a RING file alarm event (even if RING security is not turned on).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not really like it much. I have a Nest smart Smoke alarm at home and I thought this Ring device is like this Nest. Unfortunately it is not. It still requires the regular smoke alarm installation and this Ring Alarm is installed next to it. This Ring device basically just sits, listens to the regular alarm and notifies Ring app if the regular smoke alarm sounds....how stupid this is....
