[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this to bypass using my old (2011) Bose system so I can stream directly from my TV. Reason to do this is to still get the amazing sound quality from your sound system, while streaming using your smart TV. I was using a Roku, however unfortunately they do not support 120hz displays (yet). So in order to get ultra smooth visual on the TV, I needed to use the smart TV as my source of streaming, which had an optical out for my Bose system. Long story short, this allowed me to have the smoothness of the 120hz refresh rate and still listen to my amazing sound system.
