Samsung Ultra wide thunderbolt monitor!
- July 23, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor works perfectly with both my Mac and my PC. The thunderbolt 3 connection allows me to use a single cable to connect my computer to the monitor. I am getting mouse, keyboard, external storage, internet, power and audio all through a single thunderbolt (USB type C) connection. The display quality is fantastic and very responsive. I am also very impressed with how Samsung designed the cable management channel along the back of the stand which hides the cables as they route down to the desk. The bud power delivery is plenty to operate and charge my 2018 MacBook Pro 15 inch all while still providing plenty of power to all of the other devices connected to it. Note: to get internet pass through, I bought a USB C Ethernet and USB 3.0 type A dongle that I plugged into the second thunderbolt port in the back of the monitor. The Mac recognizes they Ethernet connection and immediately takes me online at 940 Mbps. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone who wants a great looking, fast, bright, HD monitor with all the benefits of having a dual monitor setup without having 2 separate monitors. Also if you don’t feel like plugging and unplugging all these different cables every time you want to take your computer away from the desk, this is a great solution! Enjoy!

Love Wide Monitors, But Not This One
- August 26, 2020it was lovely for samsung to ask for product experience feedback on the same day i spent 45 minutes on hold with the samsung warranty dept. i've experienced the following issues: 1) the monitor occasionally will emit loud, sickening electrical popping sounds akin to electricity arcing between electrodes. 2) the usb-c connection sporadically doesn’t work. the screen drops out and goes black 3) the monitor is wobbly. it shakes with the smallest nudge. i bought this monitor based on brand loyalty. i recommended it to 3 friends. one friend purchased it as well. regret. the monitor was sent shipped back for repair. let's see is samsung can make this right.

Good, not great.
- June 5, 2023I think I've been spoiled for awhile coming from the iMac 27" 5K - which was tack sharp, rich colours, deep contrast, very bright. This monitor is great for multi-tasking, but feels a little pale/desaturated in the colours, and is quite pixel-y. Again, maybe by comparison of the imac im coming from, its a step down, but it feels quite substantial. Despite the sale, when this retails for $999, I would have expected a little better in image quality. The ports/convenience/aesthestic, very nice. Plug and play, while charging the laptop too. Just not sure its quite worth the hype/high ratings if you're primary use will be for photo/video editing.

Nice Complement to Mac Mini
- April 21, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monitor looks great paired with the Mac Mini. Easy set up and factory specs are fine out of the box. The Eye Saver Mode is somewhat washed but not sure if it is supposed to be so or there is an issue with it. The noticeable issue I have is the gap between the black frame and bezel. As seen from the photos, light is emitted. This is either poor workmanship or it was damaged prior to it being packaged. Working with Best Buy to sort this out.

Excellent!!!
- August 5, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I have never been a monitor person but more of just the type to work off my laptop. But let me tell you I WISH I HAD BOUGHT SOONER! What a difference this makes for my neck and eyes. If you are unsure definitely get, the clarity is crisp and the monitor is easy to use, not much lag. Plus it has speakers!!!!

WFH Upgrade!
- March 7, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying multiple combinations to create an appropriate digital workspace, I contemplated adding a widescreen display. I did some research and encountered this model. As a Samsung display loyalist, I decided to give this one a whirl, sight unseen outside of research. I am quite pleased with the results in creating a large digital worktable that can accomplish the myriad of tasks associated with my workflows. While I cannot fully recommend this for video editing for true color display, I have found all features suitable for web conferencing, office productivity, and PhD research.

Great monitor for my needs
- January 16, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Terrific display for Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C users. Now with a single cable, I can connect my MacBook to this display, built-in speakers, and my keyboard, mouse, ethernet, and webcam via the built-in USB ports (I used a USB hub to connect 3 devices instead of the 3 built-in). The monitor charges my MacBook and iPad (with the other USB-C port). I also like the PIP feature that allows me to see content from 2 inputs at the same time. I have another device connected via the HDMI port. My only complaint would be switching between the inputs is a pain as it cycles through all the inputs instead of just allowing you to choose which one you want.

A Worthy TB3 Monitor for Apple Users
- December 23, 2018I completely revamped my set up away from a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" to a 2018 Mac Mini. Although I had a Dell 4k monitor, a widescreen monitor was on my short wishlist for the new set up. Monitor is gorgeous aesthetically. Display quality is top notch and having a single cable connection via TB3 is a boon. Daisy chaining several TB3 devices was a must - Lacie 2Big RAID, BlackMagic external ECU - and this monitor works perfectly. Great for Final Cut Pro. Great for working with two documents, such as an Excel worksheet and a Powerpoint PPT alongside. Highly recommend this monitor!

Loving the multiple Window feature
- October 9, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this monitor at the beginning of Covid so that I would not have to bring home multiple monitors for my home office. I found it to be perfect to have my personal laptop, work laptop and my Roku plugged into it so I can work and watch multiple windows all at once. I also can plug in my headset and listen to a specific call. The clarity of the monitor is also wonderful.. I hope the next generation of this monitor comes with a remote control so you can do things like turn up/down the volume without having to reach behind the monitor. Also a web camera would be great.

The Thunderbolt 3 widescreen monitor You need
- December 6, 2018[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very interested in this monitor, because I have a Razer Blade 15" 2017. For those not familiar, that is a gaming laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 port. As soon as I turned it on I just had to click ok for a pop up for the Thunderbolt 3 and the monitor showed up right away. Essentially I can have three screens by cutting the Samsung monitor in half and keeping my laptop on. This is a productivity monster. The QLed was another component I was interested in and boy does it have a bright crisp color on the screen. I do not own a MacBook with a thunderbolt 3 port, but I can say with certain that it works without a hitch and is a must buy for those on the market for a widescreen monitor with thunderbolt 3 windows PC.
