Good product, one minor flaw
- February 10, 2010I bought these stands a couple of years ago and must say they do fit in well with my decor. THey have a beautiful dark finish and provide a place to hide the speaker wires. One thing i do like is the fact that the height is pre-fixed so you don't have to guess and try to figure out what the appropriate height is. On the flip side, i was unable to secure my surround speakers to the base as there was no attachment provided. While surround speakers don't produce enough sound to cause them to fvibrate and eventually fall off, it' would be better to have them secured incase someone accidentally hits the stand. Overall, good product though!

Good but after a year of use wobbly.
- March 11, 2019We purchased these about a year ago to set some Elac B6 speakers on. They've been fairly good up until lately when the columns started to loosen from the base. We tightened them up twice but after the second time the screw holes are pretty stripped and the columns are very wobbly. This morning I tried the glue/toothpick trick to make it tighter. It did work however the MDF they make this out of is super brittle and it has hairline cracks going up it. I used some wood glue and I think I'll get another year or so out of it.

perfect for what I needed
- November 13, 2016Had some old handmade steel stands that I was using beside my couch for my rear satellite speakers, they were ok but very intrusive, I was looking for something a bit smaller , shorter but still sturdy. These are very easy to assemble, very solid, and look great. Just make sure when assembling that the little rubber pads included line up with the width of your speakers. Good product, and very affordable.

They look nice but be careful
- August 19, 2023They look nice and the price is good but, the assembly is a bit awkward and the predrilled holes are too small. When screwing in the screw it split the upright MDF board. This happened on both stands even though I took care not to overtighten. Rather deal with the hassle of a return, I used some wood glue and clamps. Hope it holds up.

Awful Cheap Stands
- November 21, 2024They look ok on the Best Buy Site but beware, I actually thought they were metal, I should have known better, that's my fault as the site says MDF. On sale for $59.99. They are not worth $9.99. MDF split on 3 of the 4 vertical posts while putting them together. Also saw some tiny Malaysian bugs coming out of the MDF!!! These are very poorly made and vibrate like heck when you turn up the volume, they will not bring the best out of your speakers. Bottom spikes are cheap plastic I will be returning these.

Crap product. Avoid buying.
- October 20, 2023While assembling both the stands split in the same spot. (While screwing into the pre drilled holes). Cheap MDF.

Be extremely careful when assembling
- March 9, 2025Paired with Klipsch RP-600M. On the whole I'm pretty happy with these stands. They look nicer than most I've seen for sale at half the price. Noting other's complaints about screws splitting the mdf, and my tendency to do just that every time I assemble something, I was very cautious, set the drill to the low setting and torque to 1. Even then I could easily see how someone could misalign the screwholes and drill through the side of the upright pieces. My advice is to use a large, straightened paperclip to line up the holes before tightening each screw. And take your time. I'd give these a 5 star for appearance and price, except one of the screw holes wouldn't allow the screw to go down father than halfway. I tried drilling it out, and using a shorter, slightly wider screw but nothing worked. I finally just applied enough pressure that it forced its way through, but would not recommend that. For $70 they're pretty nice.

Well, ok. Not spectacular.
- March 14, 2016James was tremendously helpful with respect to choosing these stands. If you need a hand choosing stuff James at Merivale can help!! The stands are ok - nothing spectacular but also, not very tall. If you're looking for stands that are high don't get these - these are more 'face level' when sitting down in front of your setup.
