Best Buy needs to do better!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 25, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product itself is great! It replaces one I had for over 10 years. The attached pictures is what I received it from Best Buy. The audacity to send something like this to a customer. Don't know what is inside because I sent back immediately. Wouldn't keep it if it was free. Thinking about it, I should have purchased from another company but I exchanged. Absolutely amazed and angry. Shame on you Best Buy!!!!

Found we used our soda stream so much we bought the Kitchenaid version

From cutting down on aluminum cans & bottles from drinking other sparkling water brands to the ease of taking my own big bottle of hydration along, I love my bubble machine. Not all are created equal either. I always have my soda stream bottle (or two) nearby as it helps me regulate I’m drinking enough fluids for breastfeeding too. Been a soda stream user for over 7 maybe even 8 years now (remember to renew your bottles when they expire) so I’m sure that’s saved a TON of recycling just from me alone! My only wish is to have a travel size version. That’s my dream! Ohhh and the flavor drops are pretty good too! It’s no pamplemousse but it’s close!

    Bubbles!

    Reviewed by - December 10, 2020

I wasn't a fizzie water drinker until this pandemic and then I was drinking so much and waiting impatiently for my water to arrive I finally just purchased this lovely little machine. I live in the city with a very small kitchen so appliances have to be vetted hard to take up precious counter space. This is cute and doesn't take up much room, and I can put it anywhere. It's currently next to my couch in my living room/office space. My only problem with it is that I seem to need a lot of the flavoring in order for me to even taste a hint of the flavor (I got the peach flavor) and they are sold in such small bottles. So I went through that very fast.

    Fizzi

    Reviewed by - March 20, 2020

I have had 2 sodastream machines prior to this: the original one which lasted about 2 years, then the Play model which lasted about 3 years. When the second one broke, I was surprised and disappointed so I contacted customer service. They were very helpful in sending a replacement at a discount, but I was surprised when I received the Fizzi that it was so flimsy and plastic-y — it is not sturdy and the button is less than ergonomic so when pushed, the machine tips forward unless you are holding onto it. It does the job but it is a very cheap-feeling product and not a pleasant experience. I wish I had gotten the electric model.

    Bubbles Mega Fan

We purchased this as a gift for a friend we accidentally got hooked on sparkling water cans. (and found ourselves on the receiving end as well!) We went with the smaller model to purchase more flavors. The sodastream overall was a total hit! Our friend uses his everyday and we use ours multiple times a day. Just a small heads up that there is a tiny bit of a learning curve in that you have to stop the carbon stream yourself on the Fizzi model. Our model (with the automatic settings) stops on it's own, though our friend wasted a lot of his first C02 canister experimenting/waiting for it to stop. Otherwise, we're very happy, loyal members of the SodaStream tribe!

Not as good as older model

    Reviewed by - June 30, 2021

I’ve had a soda stream since it’s debut. When it finally died I got a new one. But this one is nowhere near as good as the original. First it’s cheaply made with flimsy plastic. Second, the original model had a simpler way to instill bubbles. Press once and watch light indicators to tell the level of carbonation. With this new one I have to pump several times and then do it over and over to achieve the level of carbonation I want, and even then there’s not much fizz. And third, the bottle doesn’t always fit tightly resulting in water going everywhere. If I had known these new models were so bad i wouldn’t have bought it.

Great for spraying water and gas leaks

    Reviewed by Grumpy - November 7, 2020

My son was given one as a birthday gift, purchased from Best Buy. It worked just fine for the first whole gas bottle. Second bottle, and the "push down" charge motion just ended up with the valve opening into the water, and not turning off. Even when the cap is manually pulled up, it does not stop spewing gas. Of course, when trying to get it to stop by taking the bottle off, water spews everywhere as more gas blasts out. A second unit as a replacement for the first one ended up doing the same fail. And yes, we have both read and followed the instructions. Lord only knows what the health effects of lots of CO2 in a small space are, not to mention the great cost of lost gas, and the very real damage that the spewing water causes to a kitchen. This product is not ready for any prime time, and is too flaky to depend on. Best Buy really has been good in supporting the sale of the product, but the product fails well on its own accord.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

    FIZZI SodaStream

    Reviewed by - August 20, 2020

Love it. Wish I’d gotten one sooner. Only problem was putting canister in. Instructions aren’t clear. Doesn’t show you need to take the white cap off the canister and which direction the nob on the canister should be facing when installs. Never having used a Co2 canister before and didn’t want to get it wrong. Went to YouTube because even your directions on this site weren’t clear about those issues. Love that I don’t need to plug it in. I have limited counter space and outlets so that allowed me to put it in a space where I don’t have to move it every time I want to use it. Gave it 4 Stars because of the unclear instructions. The machine itself is a 5 star product.

So happy to ditch the cans

    Reviewed by - August 1, 2020

I've been using my SodaStream for a few days now and I'm very pleased overall. The instructions are very straightforward, but there is a learning curve to achieving your preferred level of carbonation. The instructions say 3 bursts for light carbonation and 5 bursts for heavy, but I don't really know how long to hold down the button for. I prefer light carbonation, for example, but I find myself still opting for 5 bursts anyway, sometimes more. This isn't a deal breaker at all, I think it's reasonable to expect a learning curve with a manual machine like this. In fact, I really like that it's not electric.

    Great Products and Service

    Reviewed by - December 20, 2021

My Fizzi was giving me little problems releasing bottle once carbonated and I didn't want to not have my machine break and be left sitting. I promptly ordered a new one just in case and two cases of cola syrup. Lots of times my big box store is out of the syrup flavors or they just haven't got shelves restocked. The order came in just a few days and I was all set. My machine is still a little tricky releasing bottle but now I have a spare if it does give out on me. I'm big on having spares of things I love and my Soda Stream is at the top of the list. Thanks for such great products and fast service.
