[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SONOS Five is just an incredible and powerful speaker. I use them as my rear surround speakers and WOW!!! They sound so good!!! I paired them to two SONOS gen 3 subs and the latest SONOS Arc. Best sound system I’ve had to date!! I’ve had several system but this one…truly superb!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the Sonos One SLs in the living room. These 5's replaced them as the One SLs were just not powerful enough to fill the room. We have two huge U shaped couches and still have tons of room left. Five's not only fill the room with sound but also look so elegant. When researching if I should try these, there were many people that said they would be overkill. Well that is due to the fact mostly that those users don't have a larger living room. I am 1000% happy with the purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Arc might sound a tiny bit better but I also have the Sub attached to that one. So hard to say. They both sound twice as good together - if that's possible. They both sound beyond amazing. Very 3D high resolution immersive sound when you sit between the Arc, their best Sub and the Sonos 5. I also run 17 Alexas as my whole-house-poor-man's Sonos system. It's not quite as nice. The Sonos 5 makes the Alexa Studio look small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been upgrading my home audio to an all Sonos system. I was looking into replacing my HomePod and had opted for a pair of Sonos Ones. I didn’t get enough sound out of those so I returned that pair and bought a Sonos Five. For those people trying to fill a bigger space the Sonos Five has you covered. It’s the biggest speaker in the newer generation Sonos line (not counting the sound bars). It sounds great! It has crisp clear highs and deep bass. I was wondering if I would eventually need to buy a Sub to go with it but I’m more than happy with the lows. It doesn’t have any smart voice features but I honestly don’t miss them, trying Siri to understand or play the music I wanted was always hit or miss. Now I just take my phone out and use the Sonos app or Airplay directly from Apple Music. The hardware is top notch. I was never a fan of their older industrial design but ever since the latest generation versions came out I have to say they nail my aesthetic design.

Sonos works through the Sonos app so it will not just plug into the speaker output but the app is capable. Get two and when configured vertically on either side of an audio engine, (phone, Bluetooth computer or a turntable) a stereo system is created.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new 5 is just outstanding! I upgraded my original play 5 with Sonos trade up service and saved 30%. The sound fills a large room with sound spectacularly. These are not reference speakers and they don’t claim. They do produce Bluetooth sound better than anything else in the price range. Using 2 Fives together will keep the party going as long as you can. Sonos has become a solid, reliable platform that my family has embraced since 2011 to replace the plug and play Sirius radio/doc. Going on ten years later and 7 additional Sonos products, I must admit that everyone if comfortable with the interface and all the different services Sonos supports.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already have a Sonos home theatre system and home wireless speakers so this was an add on for an Audio-Technical LP120XBT-USB turntable I bought to listen to some vinyls. With the direct Line In jack on the 5, I can connect my turntable (must have a built in pre- amp or an separate pre-amp to work) directly and then connect all the other Sonos speakers wirelessly. By itself this speaker is great and has great sound. Yeah, it’s pricey and that will give you pause to pull the trigger. So, buy it or don’t. It’s up to you. I’ll be jamming out regardless.
