What customers are saying

The camera delivers high-quality images with a large full-frame sensor, producing sharp, vibrant photos with great dynamic range and low noise even at high ISOs. It has fast and accurate autofocus, including reliable eye/face detection, making it well-suited for various photography needs. The compact and lightweight design offers a good range of physical controls and customization options, as well as useful features like the fully articulating rear display, in-body image stabilization, and extensive lens compatibility. While the small viewfinder and menu system may take some getting used to, the camera's overall performance and portability make it a great choice for photographers and videographers.

This camera is a pure joy

    Reviewed by - August 5, 2023

I have only had the camera for couple of weeks but I thoroughly enjoyed using it. In my view the dynamic range of the sensor is superior to that of A7 IV, which I use and love. Unlike most A7C user's views, I actually like the smaller magnification of the viewfinder, because I ware glasses when using the cameras. Colours of the photographs is outstanding. The photographs taken at the Tate Modern gallery were taken with Sony EF 40/2.5 and the photographs taken outside were taken with Loxia lenses 35mm and 50mm. This is one of the most successful, of my many camera purchases during the past forty years.

Great upgrade from the Sony A6300

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 17, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an upgrade from a Sony A6300. Very similar controls so I’m used to the ecosystem. It was great to move to a full gram camera while retaining the compact build. It takes great photos. I’m not a professional photographer but this makes getting good photos very easy. I need this for work to take photos to assess humanitarian projects all around the world. I can trust this will deliver!

    Amazing little powerhouse

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 26, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is m first mirrorless camera. I wanted to start small and simple and this was the best option I found. My intention was to work with more videos, and the Sony a7c sounded better for my low light needs (lots of fire dancing content), but the funny thing is that I ended up using it more for photography. The results were amazing. Fire photography is a challenge on its own, but this camera with a sigma 30mm 1.4 just took me to a new place for creativity and skills. I feel ready to upgrade to more mb and faster gear, but this Sony a7c is without a shadow of a doubt a beast if you can truly use it to its full capacity and make the best out of all its features. I wish there was more space for buttons and the view finder is not good at all. I got an attachment on amazon which fix the problem. Only one SD slot. I really dislike the app for transfer photos, it sucks. Battery life is extraordinary, I never got an extra and have been photographing and shooting lots of videos with one battery. The weight and size can't be beaten. It's a little funny when you have a bigger lens, but with my prime it's been amazing. Doesn't look like a big deal till you look at the photos. Amazing little camera. Can do a lot if you take your time to be one with it.

    Great entry to full frame

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 19, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great price for full frame.I returned it but it’s not because it’s bad. It’s great. Actually most of the likes of gotten on my social media have been on this camera. Colors are better than what used to be on Sony. Grip is good except with larger lenses with larger hands. That’s really about the only con I can think of. This is probably better than any Sony camera I’ve used that isn’t more close to the 3,000 dollar range. Why I returned is just because I wanted something more fun to use and less great actually lol. Great in low light also compared to the apsc cameras I’m used to. It’s got the size and weight of those but like everyone says the internals of the a7iii. Great for street photography and portrait work

A very good lightweight mirrorless camera

I wanted a good camera to take anywhere which was lightweight but capable of use with any of my other 5 E mount lenses - and this has lived up to expectation so far.

I've only had this camera a few weeks, using Sony's SEL2860 Lens, that's 28mm to 60mm and I am very satisfied with its results, esp when the sun is out !

    Execwllent compact camera.

    Reviewed by - March 1, 2023

I am very pleased with the definition and colours of images taken with this camera. In the past I have mainly used medium format manual film cameras and relied on my phone for regular snaps. This is a new and exciting experience for me. So light and handy and lots of options to learn. The only criticising I have so far is that the usb charging adapter packed with the camera does not provide sufficient power to charge the camera or run it if turned on. Other wall plugs I have work so why would Sony send out a part that is not fit for use. I am waiting for the retailer to find a solution? Otherwise I am happy.
