Overall Amazing zoom lens, my one has excellent centrering and overall sharpness, touch back focused which I like when doing portraits photos - note this is really for Photography as it is a variable Aperature 4.5-6.3 so to test here is a cloudy day (Worse conitions) with Sony APS-C A6500 with extra Body stabilisation ... only issue I found was the Manual focusing ring very gritty sounding out of the box initially compared with sister zoom SEL16-55 F2.8. Optically it's amazing for it's weight. Sony could have gone lower Aperture but it would have being a huge heavy unit. This is great & I look forward to taking optimal shots on sunny days in future. Highly Recommend.

This was my first telephoto lens, and I bought it three months ago to use on my A6000. It's such fun to use and very versatile: it can be used for action, wildlife, landscapes and portraits. You will need to have good light to be able take photos that require a higher shutter count, but when the subject allows is, the OSS works well, or a tripod can be used. It took me a bit of time to learn how to capture photos I enjoy looking at, but with this lens, it's been great fun.

I brought this for the Black Friday sales. Glad I did as it's soooo much better than my SEL55-210mm. ALOT further reach (than the 55-210) and sooo much sharper. I have only used it so far out in my back yard, testing out the image quality. I just wish it had closer focusing capabilities, I have to be at least a metre away from my subject to get focus. I love the 350mm zoom range best... just awesome.

I bought it half a year ago. I nearly use it everyday. A7iii and A6300. Very light and portable. A focus ring on the back of the lens which is a bit odd but I got use to it in no time. Of course most of the time I'm using AF. One of the best purchase I have ever made.

The photos are sharp - center and edges - and absolutely gorgeous. Manual is particularly useful for moon shots. OSS, all the features for an advanced and amateur photogs. Worth every nickel, plus a nice Best Buy membership discount!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up as a “dad lens”, to let me get some reach on my a6500 for family vacations and sports. Wow, do I love this thing. Autofocus seems to be fairly quick reliable. It can be quite sharp. And even at f/6.3 fully zoomed, a shallow depth of field is possible with impressive bokeh. At $900 this lens is a steal.

I do have a 200-600 as well, and i normally use that because I like the extra reach, and i don't mind the weight. BUT, if you want a light weight wildlife travel lens for the a6000 series cameras, this is it. very small and easy to handhold.
